CROOKSTON, MN – A memorable week for the University of Mary hockey team hit another high note in the Marauders 5-2 win at the University of Minnesota Crookston. Flicek opened the scoring when he found the net late in the first period. Following a save on a shot by
Marshall Tschida in the slot, Flicek skated in untouched and knocked home the rebound at the 17:16 mark to provide the Marauders a 1-0 lead at intermission.
Flicek struck again midway through the second period, doubling the Marauders advantage. Flicek's 19

Andrew Huber and
Zach Garrett.
Not yet finished in the second, Huber found the net for the third time in two games when he converted off a feed from Flicek to increase the Marauders advantage to 3-0.
Skating with a man advantage early in the third period, the Golden Eagles took advantage to close the gap to 3-1 on a Josh Nelson power play goal just 57 seconds into the final stanza.
The Marauders responded in force. Garrett punched home a power play goal at 7:06 before
Johnny Witzke pushed the UMary advantage to 5-1 at 14:42. UMC added a power play goal with less than five minutes remaining in the game but was unable to draw any closer.
Huber joined Flicek with a 3-point game, adding a pair of assists to his goal to reach 100 career points. Garrett had a goal and an assist and reach 150 points in his Marauders career.
