BISMARCK, ND – Thirteen Marauders found their way on the scoresheet as the University of Mary women's basketball team (4-3) defeated Dickinson State University (0-9) 80-48.
UMary came out on all cylinders in the first quarter as the Marauders held a 20-9 lead. UMary shot 50% from the field in the quarter, while DSU shot 23.53%.
The Marauders extended their lead in the second quarter, outscoring the Blue Hawks 22-8. UMary would go into the fourth quarter with a 63-35 lead after outscoring DSU 21-18 in the third.
The Marauders would close out the game strong and take the 80-48 victory over the Blue Hawks.
Addison Rozell led the team in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting while also grabbing four rebounds.
Lexie Schneider had 11 points and seven rebounds in only 12 minutes of action.
Megan Zander finished the game with nine points and five rebounds.
Megan Voit had nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from behind the arc while also contributing three assists.
The Marauders dominated on the glass as they outrebounded the Blue Hawks 46-33. UMary turned the ball over 15 times while DSU had 17 turnovers.
The Marauders shot 50% from the field, shooting 42.1% from three and going 12-of-21 from the charity stripe. The Blue Hawks shot 30% from the field, shooting 22.7% from behind the arc while going 7-of-10 from the free-throw line.
