ST. CLOUD, MN - The University of Mary women's basketball team bounced back after Friday's defeat to score a huge road win over St. Cloud State University, winning 70-67. Sophomore
Megan Voit hit a massive three off an assist from
Raquel Doll with two seconds remaining in the game to seal a Marauders victory.
A native Sauk Rapids, MN, and a graduate of St. Cloud Cathedral High School, Voit returned home to score 17 points, going five of seven from three.
The Marauders got hot early and built an 18-6 lead over the Huskies after the first quarter. SCSU took back control in the second quarter as the Huskies regained the lead 32-30 at the end of the half.
The second half was close as neither team could get a big lead. The game went down to the wire until Voit's clutch three gave UMary the win.
The Marauders had four players in double figures.
Lauren Rotunda had a double-double scoring 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
Macy Williams had 13 points and six assists while
Lexie Schneider contributed 13 points herself.
The Huskies also had four scorers in double digits. Tori Wortz led the way with 16 points and Erin Navratil had 14 points and nine rebounds.
UMary shot 40.7% from the field, going eight of seventeen from three and 18 of 20 from the free-throw line. SCSU shot 36.9% and shot five of nineteen from three-point range. The Marauders were outrebounded by the Huskies 43-34, which is an improvement from Friday when they were outrebounded 42-24.

Claire Borot scored her first two points as a Marauder. Freshman
Ella Grove scored her first NCAA points as she had four.
UMary returns to action at home on January 15 at 6 pm as the Marauders take on the University of Minnesota Duluth.
