BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary tennis team made it three straight sweeps with their 7-0 win over Minnesota Crookston. The Marauders not only swept the Golden Eagles but they did not relinquish a single game in any of the matches. Today's win improved the Marauders to 3-0.
The Marauders claimed all three doubles matches.
Tasha Dembo and
Yusra Hegy claimed number one doubles 6-0.
Danielle Wolf and
Jamie Stoppler took number two doubles 6-0.
Kelsey Lajom and
Kali Askvig rounded out doubles play with a 6-0 win in number three doubles.
Tasha Dembo claimed the win in number one singles 6-0, 6-0 over Ashley Smith.
Yusra Hegy took down Latafale Niumetolu 6-0, 6-0 in number two singles.
Kelsey Lajom earned a 6-0, 6-0 win in number three singles.
Heidi Jacobson dominated in her first collegiate action for the Marauders with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number four singles.
Julie Donnelly improved to 1-0 on the year taking down her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
Sarah Zielinski picked up the 6-0, 6-0 win in her first action as a Marauders at number six singles.
The Marauders will hop back into action tomorrow morning with play starting at 9 AM at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center.
