Marauders Men’s Soccer Falls To Northwest Nazarene During Road Trip To Idaho

NAMPA, ID – The University of Mary men's soccer team made their longest road trip of the season thus far to take on the Nighthawks of Northwest Nazarene in Nampa, Idaho today. NNU was able to get on the board early in the match and then twice in the second half to claim a 3-0 victory over the Marauders.

The Nighthawks improve to 4-2 on the season with UMary falling to 0-7.

The Marauders struggled to get the ball on frame, only recording one shot on goal during the game. Evandro Henrique recorded the lone shot on goal when he blasted a shot during the 86th minute of play.

The Marauders were able to get off 11 shots. Henrique led the way with four of his own, right behind him with two was Stanley Joseph.

NNU recorded 23 shots on the game, 12 of which were on goal.

Freshman goalkeeper Dawson Fairchild recorded a career high of nine saves on the game with five in the first half and four in the second half.

NNU was able to hold a slight advantage in corner kicks, 6-5 over the Marauders.

The Marauders will continue their road trip on Sunday, September 29 when they take on Montana State – Billings in Billings, MT at 3 PM.
