BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary Tennis team battled hard against one of the NSIC's top tier teams but could not overcome a talented MSU Moorhead team. The Dragons took down the Marauders by a score of 7-0. The battle between UMary and MSUM put the Dragons in second in the conference and dropped the Marauders down to third. 
 
With the loss, UMary falls to 12-3 overall and 6-3 in the conference. 
 
The Marauders were able to claim one of three doubles matches with Jamie Stoppler and Danielle Wolf claiming a 6-4 victory in number two doubles. 
 
MSU Moorhead claimed all six singles matches on the day but the Marauders didn't go down without a fight. 
 
Yusra Hegy battled hard in the closest match of the day, staying in the match throughout the duration of it. Hegy fell to Lorissa Yuen 6-4, 7-5. 
 
Tasha Dembo kept things close in number one singles falling 6-4, 6-3.
 
In the final match of the day, Kali Askvig battled hard but fell 6-3, 6-3 to Jalyn Kornblum.
 
The Marauders will look to bounce back in two weeks against Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, MN. UMary will take on UMD on March 30 at 3 PM followed by SCSU on March 31 at 8 AM.
