LAS VEGAS, NV – The University of Mary softball team closed out the weekend at the Desert Stinger with two games. The Marauders had their hands full in game one taking on #23 UC San Diego. UMary fell by a score of 10-2 to the Tritons. The second game of the day was a high scoring affair featuring 25 total runs with Concordia taking down UMary 13-12. With today's losses, the Marauders fall to 0-4 on the season.

UMary had their hands full against #23 University of California San Diego.
Haley Berube got UMary on the board with a two run home run but they could not overcome the 12 hit performance by UCSD. The Marauders fell to the Tritons 10-2.
PIVOT POINT
Haley Berube's two run homer tied things up at two in the second inning. UCSD came out in the third inning and strung together five runs to give themselves a 7-2 lead.

GAME 2 Concordia 13 UMary 12
The two teams combined for 25 runs and 28 hits in the high scoring ball game. Big third innings by both teams piled on the points. The Cavaliers held the lead 13-12 when the game was called due to time restrictions from travel requirements.
PIVOT POINT
Concordia blasted a grand slam and a three run homerun in the third as part of a nine run inning to give themselves a 13-10 lead.

ON DECK
The Marauders will return to action on February 22-23 at the Minot Dome Tournament. UMary will take on both Minot State and MSU Moorhead on February 22. They will follow that up with games on February 23 against Valley City State and Minnesota Crookston.
