GRAND FORKS, ND – The University of Mary Tennis team put on a dominant performance today in their match against Minnesota Crookston. The Marauders swept the Golden Eagles beating them 7-0 in impressive fashion.
 
UMary got the day started by sweeping doubles competition. The duo of Tasha Dembo and Yusra Hegy got things rolling early with a 6-1 victory in #1 doubles. Jamie Stoppler and Danielle Wolf kept the winning going with a 6-1 win in #2 doubles. #3 doubles featured the most dominant win of the day in doubles play with a 6-0 win by Kali Askvig and Kelsey Lajom.
 
Singles was much like doubles with the Marauders winning every single match. Tasha Dembo dominated #1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
 
In similar fashion, Yusra Hegy took control of #2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
 
Kelsey Lajom won #3 singles 6-2, 6-1.
 
Kali Askvig shut out her opponent in #5 singles 6-0, 6-0.
 
Danielle Wolf won 6-3, 6-0 in #4 singles.
 
Julie Donnelly closed out the day for UMary with a 6-0, 6-0 win in #6 singles.
 
The Marauders will be back in action tomorrow, February 23 at 8:30 AM to take on Bemidji State in Grand Forks, ND.
