GOLDEN TOUCH

She tallied twice at Minot State, produced the Marauders lone goal in a 1-1 tie at Northern State and had the winning goal in UMary's 1-0 win at MSU Moorhead. For the year the All-NSIC player has five goals in five games to rank second in the NSIC in goals/game at 1.0. She also has one assist on the season and is third in the NSIC in points/game at 2.20.

CLEAN
Freshman goalkeeper Madisyn Waltman posted her first collegiate clean sheet (shutout) in the Marauders 1-0 road win over the Dragons on Sunday. She made seven saves in the game. Waltman, who has started the last four UMary games, is 7th in the NSIC in goals against average at 1.18.

SUFFOCATING
The Marauders defense allows just 8.8 shots per game. By comparison, the UMary offense is taking 15.8 shots/game. Last week the Marauders held Minot State to eight shots (six on frame), Northern State to 10 shots (4) and MSUM to 10 shots (7).

BLASTING AWAY
The Marauders are 6th among NSIC teams in shots per game at 15.8. Leading the way is senior M Lisa Swärdh, 6th in the NSIC with 3.0 shots/game. Right behind is Megan Lowery with 2.6/game, 15th in the league.

NEWCOMERS
A handful of new Marauders have made their first starts for UMary this season. Freshmen Madisyn Waltman and Snædís Daníelsdóttir both have started in goal for the Marauders and earned wins. Malia Brudvik, a defender who transferred from Peninsula College, has started four games and Sidney Burrell, a transfer from Sheridan College, also has a start.

MORE NEW FACES
Additionally freshmen Rebekah Bittner and Reegin Kehn also have seen action this year.

REINFORCEMENTS
Three Marauders limited by injury last year have returned to the pitch. A sophomore, Patricia Martin was limited to just one game last season returned to see significant time in all five games. Katie Berg and Kacee Bailey, seniors defenders who missed all of last year, also have seen action. Berg has played in three games and started once.

SENIOR SALUTE
The Marauders feature five seniors in the starting lineup. Midfielders Caitlin Dooley and Megan Lowery both earned all-conference and all-region honors last season. Forwards Jade Smith and Caylin Cathey received All-Northern Sun honors. The fifth senior is Lisa Swärdh, who already has a goal and an assist on the season.
