Six Marauders earn 2025 CSC Academic All-District Women's Soccer honors

BISMARCK, ND – Six University of Mary scholar-athletes earned 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team recognition, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Receiving Academic All-District honors for the Marauders are MaLiah Burke, Maicee Burke, Olivia Gardner, Rachel Gensch, Bella Kozlowski and Rio Spruenken.
 
The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top scholar-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and are selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America / CoSIDA). To be nominated, a scholar-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution.
 
Maicee Burke is a sophomore from Minot, ND, and is majoring in Exercise Science. A forward, she played in all 19 games and had three goals and an assist.
  
Maliah Burke is a senior forward from Minot, ND, majoring in Biology with a Pre-Med concentration. A 2024 All-Northern Sun 2nd team selection, Burke played in 17 games this season and was third on the team with 11 points.
 
A senior forward from Winona, MN, Gardner earned a degree in Marketing and is working on a master's degree in organizational leadership. She earned All-NSIC 2nd team honors for a third-straight season after scoring a team-best 10 goals.
 
Gensch, a senior forward from Rocklin, CA, is majoring in nursing. In 16 games she scored three goals and added two assists to tie for 4th on the team with 11 points.
 
Kozlowski, a sophomore from Newport, MN, is pursuing a degree in Marketing. The defender started all 19 games for UMary this season and helped the Marauders post eight shutouts.  
 
Spruenken, a Biology major with a Pre-Med concentration, is a senior midfielder. The native of Krefeld, NRW, Germany, is a 2-time All-NSIC second team selection who started all 19 games in 2025.
 
Select Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid December.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
