BISMARCK, ND – Six University of Mary scholar-athletes earned 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team recognition, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Receiving Academic All-District honors for the Marauders are
MaLiah Burke,
Maicee Burke,
Olivia Gardner,
Rachel Gensch,
Bella Kozlowski and
Rio Spruenken.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top scholar-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom and are selected by the College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America / CoSIDA). To be nominated, a scholar-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at her current institution.
Maicee Burke is a sophomore from Minot, ND, and is majoring in Exercise Science. A forward, she played in all 19 games and had three goals and an assist.
Maliah Burke is a senior forward from Minot, ND, majoring in Biology with a Pre-Med concentration. A 2024 All-Northern Sun 2
nd team selection, Burke played in 17 games this season and was third on the team with 11 points.
A senior forward from Winona, MN, Gardner earned a degree in Marketing and is working on a master's degree in organizational leadership. She earned All-NSIC 2nd team honors for a third-straight season after scoring a team-best 10 goals.
Gensch, a senior forward from Rocklin, CA, is majoring in nursing. In 16 games she scored three goals and added two assists to tie for 4
th on the team with 11 points.
Kozlowski, a sophomore from Newport, MN, is pursuing a degree in Marketing. The defender started all 19 games for UMary this season and helped the Marauders post eight shutouts.
Spruenken, a Biology major with a Pre-Med concentration, is a senior midfielder. The native of Krefeld, NRW, Germany, is a 2-time All-NSIC second team selection who started all 19 games in 2025.
Select Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid December.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
