MOORHEAD, MN – The University of Mary swimming and diving team posted top times in 15 of 16 events including breaking three pool records in the process. The Marauders dominated Concordia College by a score of 185-65.
UMary kicked off the day by breaking a pool record in the 400 yard medley. The team of Alyssa Boese, Mackenzie Houston, Anna Jackson, and Victoria Murillo posted a time of 4:08.90 to win the event by 13 seconds.
Victoria Murillo broke a pool record in the 500 yard free with a time of 5:12.58. She took a dominant win by over 19 seconds.
Mackenzie Houston broke a pool record in the 100 yard fly. She posted a time of 1:00.74 to take first place. Houston took second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:26.69.
Luisa Garcia won the 1000 yard free with a time of 11:29.21 to win the event by over 30 seconds. She also won the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:17.94.
Abbey Zajdzinski won the 200 yard free with a time of 2:05.25. She also posted a top time in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:04.40.
Kate Murphy took the 50 yard backstroke, posting a time of 30.25 seconds.
Anna Jackson won the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 33.21 seconds. She also posted a top time of 56.11 seconds in the 100 yard free.
Andrea Lee posted a 26.34 seconds in the 50 yard free to take first place.
Mariah Stewart won the one meter diving board with a score of 289.20.
Sam Behm took first in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 28.35 seconds.
The team of Boese, Zajdzinski, Jackson, and Murillo finished the day with a win in the 200 yard freestyle posting a time of 1:43.86.
The Marauders will be back in action at the Dragon/Cobber Invite on November 30-December 1 in West Fargo, ND.
