Lakeland, FL – The University of Mary men's soccer team continued their cross country road trip today against the Florida Southern Moccasins. The Marauders headed straight to Lakeland, FL, from Seattle, WA, where they played last week. The Marauders battled hard against the nation's 8th  ranked team but the Mocs were able to control the match and eventually win 1-0.
 
With the loss the Marauders fall to 3-7-1 on the season.
 
The Marauders kept it close to entirety of the match with the first period ending knotted at 0-0. It was not until the 58th minute of action that the Mocs were able to run a give-and-go to set Luis Bautista up for a chip shot to put the Mocs up 1-0.
 
The Marauders struggled against the stout defense of Florida Southern, only managing to get one shot on goal the entire match.
 
Lukas Billhardt had his hands full during this match, facing ten shots on goal. Billhardt was able to stop nine of the ten.
 
The Marauders will be back in action on Sunday, October 21 at 3:30 against Fort Hays State at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck, ND.
