Sioux Falls, SD – The University of Mary swimming and diving team took their weekend road trip to Sioux Falls for the second meet of the weekend. The Marauders took on the University of Sioux Falls Cougars. UMary posted many impressive results including two new school records but were unable to overcome Sioux Falls who took down the Marauders by a score of 164-112.
Anna Jackson had a tremendous day in the pool. She broke school records in both the 200 yard breaststroke and the 1000 yard freestyle. Jackson's record time of 10:48.94 is the second fastest time posted in the conference so far in the season. Her school record of 2:29.65 was good enough to give her second place on the day. Jackson added another second place finish in the 50 yard free with a time of 25.38 seconds.
Victoria Murillo posted a dominant time of 5:12.34 in the 500 yard free which won her the event by over eight seconds. This outstanding time is good enough for the fastest time in the conference so far this season.
Alyssa Boese took home second in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:17.89.
Abbey Zajdzinski finished with a time of 56.15 seconds in the 100 yard free to take second.
Rachel Riedel took second in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:14.93
Andrea Lee posted a time of 2:00.35 in the 200 yard free to take second place.
Mackenzie Houston put up a time of 1:00.72 in the 100 yard butterfly.

Mariah Stewart took home first on both the one meter and three meter diving board.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Zajdzinski, Murillo, Houston and Boese took home second with a time of 1:52.81.
Zajdzinski, Murillo, Jackson, and Lee took second in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:40.60.
The Marauders return home on Friday, October 26 at 6:30 PM to take on Augustana University (SD).
