Home of all 2016 Signing Day announcements for football and men's and women's soccer

After several months spent on the road, on the phone and watching film, Marauders football and men's and women's soccer will announce their 2016 recruiting class on Wednesday, February 3. This is the first day graduating high school student-athletes can sign a National Letters of Intent with NCAA colleges and universities.

As NLIs and commitment letters are received by the University of Mary compliance office, Marauders Sports Information will update this page throughout the day. Updates will also be posted on twitter at @umarysports.
 
At press conference will be held at 2 p.m. in Chicks Place on the U-Mary campus as the Marauders football and and men's and women's soccer coaches will announce their 2016 signing classes. The public is invited to attend. The press conference will also be streamed live at: http://portal.stretchinternet.com/umary/

Additionally, all U-Mary fans are invited to the 3rd annually Marauders Football Signing Day Party from 5-8 p.m. at the Radisson. 
 
An official press release will be posted for each of the teams at the end of the day.

?????????Dylan Anthony (LB, 6-2, 205, West Fargo, N.D. / West Fargo HS)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
A team captain and the defensive most valuable player as a senior, Dylan Anthony led the West Fargo Packers to an EDC championship and a final four appearance in the North Dakota state tournament in 2015. Anthony posted 65 tackles and four interceptions as a linebacker, scored three touchdowns and had 187 receiving yards as a tight end. As a junior in 2014 he made 45 tackles, had an interception and scored a touchdown as West Fargo was the second seed in the EDC. Anthony recorded 15 tackles as a sophomore. For his varsity career Anthony finished with 120 tackles, made five interceptions and scored four touchdowns. He also competed in track & field for a year and threw the javelin. A four-year honor roll student and a member of the National Honor Society, Dylan is the son of Camille Walkin and Derick Anthony and will major in criminal justice at the University of Mary.
 
?????????Jaxon Ford (RB, 5-10, 170, Bismarck, N.D. / Bismarck HS)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
A two-time first team all-state running back at Bismarck High School, Jaxon Ford will join his brother Coleton on the University of Mary football team. Ford ran for 1,783 yards and 24 touchdowns on 230 carries as a senior, leading the Demons to the state semifinals in 2015. As a junior, Bismarck advanced to the state semifinals as Ford ran for 1,390 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was named the BHS most valuable offensive player and claimed all-conference honors as a junior and senior. Also a hockey and baseball player, Ford won all-conference and all-state honors on the diamond as a junior. A recipient of Presidential Awards and the son of Robert and Melanie Ford, Jaxon is undecided on a major at U-Mary.
 
?????????Gage Gellner (DB, 5-11, 193, Grafton, N.D. / Grafton)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
A three-sport athlete, Gage Gellner played safety and wide receiver for Grafton. Gellner, a member of the 2012 state runner up Grafton team and named the most improved defensive player in 2014, recorded nine career interceptions. He also plays basketball and baseball. Involved in musical and theatrical performances and a church and food pantry volunteer, Gage is the son of Rob and Nikki Gellner, both of whom attended the University of Mary. Additionally his father played football for the Marauders. Gage will major in business administration at U-Mary.

HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
An all-region performer and team captain for Divide Country High School, Tyler Harward led his team to the state semifinals. He helped his team reach the playoffs four straight seasons. Harward also plays basketball and has competed for the track & field team. A member of the FBLA, Tyler is the son of Sandy and Kurt Kocher and plans to major in history education at the University of Mary.

HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
A two-year letter winner at Bismarck High School, Ethan Hauff helped the Demons make the state semifinals as a junior and senior. He is also a two-year letter winner in basketball. A member of the National Honor Society and a Humane Society volunteer, Ethan is the son of Stacey and Jeremy Hauff. He will pursue a nursing degree at the University of Mary.
 
?????????Isaiah Hubbard (DL, 6-0, 225, Hopkins, Minn. / DeLaSalle HS)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
An all-district selection as a senior at DeLaSalle High School, Isaiah Hubbard was a team captain in 2015. Hubbard played on the Islanders 2014 state championship team and the 2013 state semifinals playoff squad. The son of Petra Regino, Isaiah is undecided on a major at the University of Mary.
 
?????????Will Karrer (P, 6-2, 165, Sioux City, Iowa / Bishop Heelan HS)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
An all-district punter, Will Karrer played on three state championship football teams at Bishop Heelan High School as a freshman, sophomore and junior seasons. Also a defensive back, Karrer averaged 41.2 yards/punt as a senior and 39.7 yards/punt as a junior and has a career long of 83 yards. Also a baseball player, he previously played for current University of Mary assistant baseball coach Corby McLaughlin and tossed a one-hitter in his first varsity start. Also a member of the track team, he has cleared 6' in the high jump. An alter server who has won several academic awards, Will is the son of Katy and Nick Karrer and will pursue a degree in construction management at U-Mary. 
 
?????????Weston Meckle (DB, 5-11, 172, Center, N.D. / Center-Stanton High School)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
A two-time all-region performer at quarterback, Weston Meckle was team captain at Center-Stanton (N.D.) High School and team most valuable player. A multi-sport athlete, Meckle was also team captain and most valuable player in basketball and placed as high as fourth in the region in the long jump. An honor roll student, Weston is the son of Brad and Milissa Meckle. Weston will major in business at the University of Mary.
 
?????????Matthew Krizan (RB, 5-9, 180, Beulah, N.D. / Beulah HS)
HIGHLIGHT FILM
 
Team captain for the 2015 state champion Beulah High School Miners, Matthew Krizan ran for 865 yards and nine touchdowns his senior season. He played defensive back in addition to running back. Also a member of the track team, Krizan ran on the 2013 state Class B runner-up 4x100 relay team. A member of FBLA, FFA and the honor roll, Matthew is the son of Verda and John Krizan and will major in physical therapy at the University of Mary.

Isaiah Merrill (RB, 5-10, 180, Harvey, N.D. / Harvey HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A team captain at Harvey High School his senior season, Isaiah Merrill earned all-conference honors as a junior. He also was the team's most valuable offensive back and most valuable linebacker as a junior. Also a member of the track team, Merrill was the most valuable thrower as a junior and most valuable sprinter as a sophomore and freshman. A member of FBLA, FFA and FCCLA, Isaiah is the son of Dustin and Crystal Grice and intends to major in business management at the University of Mary.

Logan Gross (RB, 5-10, 180, Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

Logan Gross led Century High School to a pair of state championships, the 2015 football title as a senior and the 2015 track & field title as a junior. He ran for over 600 yards and five touchdowns as a senior. A sprinter in track, Gross competes in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes and runs on the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams. An honor roll member, Logan is the son of Lori Sams and Kelly Gross and will major in business at the University of Mary.

Richard Bendish (LB, 5-11, 163, Mandan, N.D. / Mandan HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-state second team selection and an all-conference first team choice, Richard Bendish led Mandan High School to its first winning record in four years as a senior in 2015. Named the team defensive most valuable player, Bendish led the state with 11 sacks and posted 60 tackles, three forced fumbles, recovered four fumbles, and scored a touchdown from his linebacker position while leading the Braves to a 5-4 mark overall. For his career Bendish finished with 105 tackles and 17 sacks. A two-sport athlete Bendish also plays baseball and helped Mandan win a state title. A member of the National Honor Society and the school honor roll, he also earned academic all-conference honors. The son of Debra Bendish, Richard will major in engineering at the University of Mary.

Casey Uhler (LB, 6-2, 200, Bismarck, N.D. / St. Mary's Central)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-state performer and the Class AA West Region Senior of the Year in 2015, Casey Uhler helped lead St. Mary's Central to state championships as a sophomore and junior (2013-14) and the state semifinals as a senior. A first team all-state choice at wide receiver, Uhler caught 25 passes for 467 yards and scored ten touchdowns. Defensively he made 60 solo stops and had three sacks and an interception. A team captain, Uhler earned second team all-conference recognition as a junior and first team honors as a senior. A multi-sport athlete, Uhler also competes in basketball, track & field and baseball. The son of Michael and Karen Uhler, Casey will major in nursing at the University of Mary.

Wyatt Pladson (OL/LS, 6-2, 270, Williston, N.D. / Williston HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A team captain at Williston High School, Wyatt Pladson is a nationally-ranked long snapper and earned academic all-conference football honors. A youth football camp coach and community volunteer, Wyatt is the son of Christie and Almo Pladson and will pursue the pre-medicine program at the University of Mary.

Jacob Copenhaver (OL, 6-1, 260, Carrington, N.D. / Carrington HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

A two-time all-state selection, Jacob Copenhaver led Carrington High School to the Class A state semifinals as a senior and a 9-1 record. Selected as a defensive lineman, Copenhaver had 25 tackles (16 solo), two sacks and five tackles for loss. Offensively he helped clear the way for the Cardinals to run for 2,582 yards. The team captain, the team most valuable player on the offensive and defensive lines, and a winner of the most improved player, Copenhaver also was a three-time all-region selection. He finished his career with 108 tackles (53 solo), five sacks, one safety, one fumble recovery and one touchdown. He also competes in track & field (shot put and discus) and wrestling. A high honor roll student, Jacob is the son of Joan and Dave Copenhaver and will pursue a degree in wildlife management at the University of Mary.

Noah Froehling (DL, 6-3, 230, Wishek, N.D. / Wishek HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-conference performer, Noah Froehling played defensive line for Wishek High School. A member of FBLA and student council and the son of Eric and Paula Froehling, Noah will pursue the biology and pre-dental academic programs at the University of Mary.

Tyler Evenson (LB, 6-2, 210, West Fargo, N.D. / Sheyenne HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-state second team selection and team captain as a senior in 2015 at Sheyenne High School in West Fargo, N.D., Tyler Evenson was also a two-time all-conference selection (2014, 2015). He posted 54.5 tackles, including 19 for loss and five sacks as a senior. He finished his career with 87 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and seven sacks. A Dean's List member and the son of Sandy and Mike Evenson, Tyler intends to major in business at the University of Mary.

Ethan Devitt (DL, 6-3, 223, Fargo, N.D. / North HS)

 

A team captain at Fargo North High School, Ethan Devitt was the most valuable player of the Spartans defensive line. He played both defensive and offensive line in high school. Devitt also competed in track & field. A volunteer youth basketball coach, Ethan is the son of Lynn and Jay Devitt and will major in engineering at the University of Mary.

Brady Munro (OL, 6-4, 245, Page, N.D. / Northern Cass HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-region performer as a junior, Brady Munro was a three-year letter winner in football at Northern Cass High School. He also competes in track & field, earning team most valuable thrower honors, and basketball. A member of the National Honor Society, Boys State, SADD, choir and the "A" honor roll, Brady is the son of Neil and Patty Munro and intends to major in physical therapy at the University of Mary.

Anthony "Bubba" Griffiths (DL, 6-1, 275, Westmont, Ill. / Westmont HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

A two-time all-conference football player, Anthony "Bubba" Griffiths was a team captain at Westmont (Ill.) High School. Griffiths played both defensive tackle and offensive guard. Also a wrestler, Griffiths is a two-time state qualifier who had over 100 wins and 53 pins. He is a two year team captain in wrestling and has been honored three times as an all-conference performer. The son of Jeff and Sheri Griffiths, Anthony will pursue a degree in criminal justice at the University of Mary.

Adam Geiger (WR, 6-4, 200, Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

A first team all-state wide receiver as a senior, Adam Geiger led Century High School to a state championship. He caught 37 passes for 800 yards and 10 touchdowns and was named his team's outstanding senior and offensive player in 2015. Geiger made ESPN's Top Ten for a touchdown catch made in the championship game. He was an all-conference selection as a junior. A two sport athlete, Geiger also plays basketball. The son of Matt and Kelly Geiger, Adam plans to major in business at the University of Mary.

Jarad Zittleman (DB, 5-10, 165, Mandan, N.D. / Mandan HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-state second team selection, Jarad Zittleman was a team captain as a senior at Mandan High School and led the Braves to a winning record for the first time in four years. In addition to all-state honors, he earned first team all-region honors as a junior and senior. In his final season Zittleman recorded 54 tackles, one sack, forced two fumbles, recovered three fumbles, intercepted two passes and scored two touchdowns. For his career Zittleman had 148 tackles, one sack, four forced fumbles, five recovered fumbles, three interceptions and scored three touchdowns. Zittleman also plays hockey and baseball for Mandan and has earned academic all-conference honors in all three sports. Zittleman joins his older brother Brady, a defensive back, on the Marauders football team. The son of Rich and Susanne Zittleman, Jared will major in engineering at the University of Mary.

Tyson Lytle (DL, 6-3, 320, Fargo, N.D. / South HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A 2015 first team Class AAA all-state selection, Tyson Lytle was a team captain at Fargo (N.D.) South High School. A first team all-conference choice and a two-time Bruins defensive lineman of the year, Lytle played in the 2013 state champion team. A multi-sport athlete, Lytle throws the shot put and discus for the South track & field team. The son of Henry and Sandy Lytle, Tyson will major in business at the University of Mary.

Talon Staudinger (DB, 6-0, 175, Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-state defensive back, Talon Staudinger helped Century High School win the 2015 Class AAA state championship. Staudinger made 65 unassisted tackles, 29 assisted, totaled 159 tackling points (2nd on team), recovered four fumbles and returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown as a senior, earning him All-WDA and All-State second team honors. A team captain in track & field, Staudinger led the Patriots to the 2015 Class A state championship. The team most valuable performer on the jumps, he placed in both the triple and long jumps at state. He has career-highs of 43-01.50 in the triple jump, 21-01.50 in the long, 153.08 in the javelin and 24.24 seconds in the 200 meter dash. Staudinger will also compete for the Marauders track & field team. An honor roll and President Honor Roll student, a member of the National Honor Society and a volunteer at various local events, Talon is the son of Scott and Jill Staudinger. Talon will pursue the physical therapy program at the University of Mary.

Brayden Thomas (DL, 6-3, 235, Bismarck, N.D. / Bismarck HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-state defensive lineman, Brayden Thomas led Bismarck High School to the state semifinals as both a junior and a senior. Thomas was one of just five players named to the Class AAA first team all-state squad in both 2014 and 2015. Brayden is the son of Wes and Melissa Thomas and is undecided on a major at the University of Mary.

Hunter Hager (LB, 6-1, 188, Rugby, N.D. / Rugby HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A first team all-region linebacker, Hunter Hager was team captain for Rugby High School as a senior in 2015. He recorded 68 tackles and made two interceptions on defense and caught 29 passes for 291 yards and three touchdowns on offense while playing tight end. Hager, who helped Rugby to a 9-1 mark as a junior, finished his career with 166 tackles. He also plays basketball and baseball. A member of the band, student council, FFA, LYO, and a Jaycees volunteer, Hunter is the son of Chad, a University of Mary graduate, and Keeya Hager. He is undecided on a major at U-Mary.

Carter Buelow (OL, 6-5, 290, Grand Forks, N.D. / Red River HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

A three-sport athlete, Carter Buelow earned honorable mention honors as an offensive lineman for Red River High School in Grand Forks, N.D. He blocked two kicks as a senior, including an extra point to preserve a 7-6 win over West Fargo Sheyenne. Buelow has advanced to state twice in wrestling and also qualified in track & field for the shot put. A church school teacher and coach for Little Kids football, Carter is the son of Loralee and Robert Buelow and is undecided on a major at the University of Mary.

Caleb Weisgarber (RB, 5-10, 168, Hensler, N.D. / Washburn HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-state second team selection as a senior, Caleb Weisgarber was team captain in 2015 for Southern McLean and led the Roughriders to the playoffs. He threw for 1,031 yards and seven touchdowns while running for 350 yards and six scores. Defensively Weisgarber made 33 tackles, including 5.5 for loss, and intercepted three passes. He earned all-conference and all-region first team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior and was the team most valuable player as both a sophomore and senior. A multi-sport athlete Weisgarber also competes in basketball, baseball and track & field. An "A" honor roll member, Caleb is the son of Lee and Annette Weisgarber and will major in civil engineering at the University of Mary.

Bailey Meyer (P, 6-2, 190, Sheboygan, Wis. / Sheboygan North HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-state honorable mention punter, Bailey Meyer also earned first team all-conference honors as a punter at Sheboygan North High School. A two-year team captain and the squad's most valuable player as a senior, he averaged 37 yards/punt with a long of 65 yards. In addition to punting he also played quarterback and was the kicker. He also competes in track and golf. A member of the student council, Bailey is the son of Bill Meyer and Renee Schibur and intends to major in nursing.

Bradley Davidson (RB, 5-11, 170, Devils Lake, N.D. / Devils Lake HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-state athlete as a senior, Bradley Davidson was a threat as a runner, receiver and a returner for Devils Lake High School. A second team all-state selection in 2015, he also was a first team all-EDC defensive back as a senior and was a first team all-EDC running back as a junior. As a senior Davidson ran for 420 yards and five touchdowns on 82 carries, caught five passes for 196 yards and one touchdown, returned six kicks for 185 yards and a score and returned three punts for 47 yards. He totaled 1,471 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns on 280 carries and scored 26 touchdowns in his career. Davidson also runs track for Devils Lake, competing in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes. The son of Katie Brandvold, Bradley will seek a degree in psychology at the University of Mary.

Wyatt Fulton (OL, 6-3, 276, Belfield, N.D. / Belfield HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-region and all-conference offensive lineman, Wyatt Fulton was team captain for Heart River. He was a four-year performer in football. A member of the FFA and the son of Connie and Don Fulton, Wyatt will major in business management at the University of Mary.

Dylan VanBoxel (QB, 6-2, 210, Green Bay, Wis. / Preble HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-year team captain, Dylan VanBoxel led Preble High School to the state playoffs as a junior and senior. As a senior, he completed 42-of-61 passes for 408 yards, five touchdowns and one interception while running 12 times for 98 yards and three scores in three games. Defensively he had 14 tackles, including seven for loss, with 2.5 sacks and five pass deflections in four games. As a junior VanBoxel was 81-of-125 passing for 1,146 yards, 16 touchdown passes and one interception and carried the ball 27 times for 123 yards and four touchdowns. For his career he has completed 123-of-186 passes for 1,554 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for 221 yards and seven touchdowns on 39 carries. Involved in DECA, the chess team, Key Club, National Honor Society and FCA and a high honors student, Dylan is the son of Glen and Laura VanBoxel. Dylan will major in exercise science at the University of Mary.

Tyson Carney (WR, 6-2, 185, Malta, Mont. / Malta HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-state selection at wide receiver and defensive back as a senior in 2015, Tyson Carney was a two year team captain at Malta High School in Malta, Mont. The school's all-time career leader in interceptions, Carney earned all-conference recognition as a sophomore, junior and a senior and is an alternate selection for Montana's Shrine Game. He is a three-sport athlete, also competing in basketball and track. Ranked first in his class, Tyson is the son of Lori and Darrell Carney and plans to major in athletic training at the University of Mary.

Jayden Gunville (DL, 6-3, 265, Burlington, N.D. / Des Lacs Burlington HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-state performer, Jayden Gunville was team captain as a senior and the team's most valuable player. He posted 61 tackles, eight quarterback hurries, three sacks, forced a fumble and recovered a fumble. A three-time all region and all-conference choice, Gunville had career totals of 202 tackles, 16 sacks, six forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries, 28 hurries, one pass interception, four pass knockdowns and one blocked kick. He helped Des Lacs Burlington to an undefeated regular season and a regional championship as a sophomore in 2013 and a final record of 11-1. In his career Gunville also was twice named the team's defensive line most valuable player and the most valuable freshman and sophomore. A four-sport athlete, he also competes in basketball, baseball and track & field. Involved in his churches' youth group, Jayden is the son of Tiffany and Terry Gunville and will major in exercise science at the University of Mary.

Matt Harrison (DL, 6-1, 270, Lewistown, Mont. / Fergus HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-state defensive lineman, Matt Harrison was also a team captain at Fergus High School in Lewistown, Mont. As a senior in 2015, he recorded 38 tackles (17 solo) on defense and had 11 pancake blocks on offense. Harrison was a first team all-conference selection as both an offensive and defensive lineman after both his junior and senior seasons and finished his career with 61 tackles (33 solo). He twice earned academic all-state recognition. Also a member of the track & field team, Harrison competes in the shot put, discus and 200 meter dash. A member of the FFA, he will major in business at the University of Mary.

Devin Sardelli (DL, 6-3, 225, Hebron, N.D. / Beulah HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A team captain of the 2015 Class AA State Football Champion Beulah High School as a senior, Devin Sardelli earned honorable mention all-conference honors in 2014 as a junior. A three sport athlete, Sardelli is also a team captain for hockey and baseball. He is already a two-time all-region baseball player who earned the team hitting award as a sophomore and junior. An alter server and a member of FFA, FBLA and the school's "A" honor roll, Devin is the son of Kathy and David Sardelli and will major in business administration and management at the University of Mary.

Logan Nelson (QB, 6-5, 195, Billings, Mont. / Skyview HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-conference performer, Logan Nelson played both quarterback and punter at Skyview High School in Billings, Mont. He earned all-conference honorable mention honors his junior year at quarterback and claimed second team honors at punter his senior year. A multi-sport athlete, Nelson helped Skyview win the 2015 AA State Basketball Championship and earned academic all-state basketball recognition. He also plays American Legion baseball. The son of Rod and Christine Nelson, Logan intends to pursue a physical therapy degree at the University of Mary.

Jace Horman (WR, 6-1, 170, Belle Fourche, S.D. / Belle Fourche HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

An all-conference selection, Jace Horman helped Belle Fourche High School to an 8-2 record, second place in the Black Hills conference and a state quarterfinal appearance. Horman caught 12 passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns. As a defensive back he made five interceptions – two of which were returned for touchdowns – and knocked down five passes. His efforts earned him 2015 all-Black Hills Conference honorable mention honors. Horman is a three-year letter winner in football, basketball and track & field. The son of Jeff and Denise Horman, Jace will pursue a degree in mathematics education at the University of Mary.

Austin Fritz (OL, 6-2, 275, Detroit Lakes, Minn. / Detroit Lakes HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

An all-conference lineman his senior year at Detroit Lakes High School, Austin Fritz is a three-sport athlete for the Lakers. In addition to football, he also plays hockey and golf. The son of Kristie Welle and Mike Fritz, Austin will major in physical therapy at the University of Mary.

Nick Dammen (FB, 6-2, 200, Riverdale, N.D. / Underwood HS)

A two-time all-region selection in football, Nick Dammen is a three sport athlete at Underwood High School. A fullback, tight end and linebacker, Dammen was the team captain and named the top lineman on the squad as a senior. He was a second team all-region selection as a junior before earning first team honors his final season in 2015. Dammen also competes in basketball and track. A member of Underwood's high honor roll, Nick is the son of Deanna Dammen and will pursue a petroleum engineering degree at the University of Mary.

Samuel Garvey (DL, 6-3, 270, Minneota, Minn. / Minneota HS)

Injured his junior and senior season, Samuel Garvey played nose guard and center  at Marshall (Minn.) High School as a freshman and sophomore. He participates in speech, knowledge bowl, trap shooting, drama, student council, church activities and numerous volunteer activities. The son of Jaci and Joseph Garvey, Samuel will major in mass communications at the University of Mary.

Jake Preston (QB, 6-3, 190, Hillsboro, N.D. / Hillsboro HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

A two-time all-region performer, Jake Preston was the Hillsboro High School team captain as both a junior and a senior. After earning all-conference honorable mention honors as a sophomore, Preston claimed all-region recognition following his junior and senior seasons. Additionally he was Hillsboro's offensive player of the year as a junior and the team most valuable player as a senior while also capturing the Burro Award. A multi-sport athlete, Preston also competes in basketball and golf and spent a year in track & field. A member of FBLA, FFA, the National Honor Society and a recipient of the NDHSAA Scholar Award, Jake is the son of Jeff and Darla Preston and will pursue a business degree at the University of Mary.

John Gropper (DL, 6-1, 226, Faith, S.D. / Faith HS)

An all-conference performer as a senior, John Gropper was a team captain at Faith High School. He led his team beyond the first round of playoffs four straight years. A four-sport athlete Gropper also competes in track & field, basketball and rodeo. A member of the National Honor Society, the S.D. High School Rodeo Cinch Team, Sons of the American Legion, 4-H, American Trap Shooting Association, and a volunteer at the Faith VFW, John is the son of Deb and William Gropper. John will major in business administration at the University of Mary.

Devin Blythe (FB/LB, 5-10, 220, Lewistown, Mont. / Fergus HS)

HIGHLIGHT FILM

 

A three sport athlete, Devin Blyth has earned all-state honors in football and wrestling at Fergus High School in Lewistown, Mont. Blythe was named first team all-state in football as a fullback his senior year in 2015 and also was all-conference as both a linebacker and fullback. A two-time team captain in both football and wrestling, he was named his football team's most inspirational as a junior and senior (2014-15). An all-state wrestler in 2015 and a three time all-conference grappler, Blythe earned the Golden Eagle award in 2014. He also competes in track & field. A four-time academic all-state selection in football and a three-time choice in wrestling, Blythe was selected for the National Society of High School Scholars, competes in the Science Olympiad and is an FFA member. The son of Deann and Neil Blythe, Devin will pursue an engineering degree at the University of Mary.

A team captain, Logan Kann is a two-sport athlete at Britton-Hecla High School. In addition to football, Kann also played basketball. The son of Marlene and George Kann, Logan will major in physical education at the University of Mary.

University of Mary Women's Soccer program is keeping the Swedish connection strong with the signing of Josefine Dahlberg. Josefine is a big, strong presence on the field that will bring depth and energy to the Marauder midfield. Josefine comes from Gnarp, Sweden, and plays her club soccer for Selångers FK, which competes in the Second Division in the Swedish Women's League. She is an extremely versatile player who will bring a highly competitive edge to the Marauders Family.

Josefine has been a part of many successful seasons for her club. This past year they finished middle of the table and she was ranked as the fourth best player in the league. Josefine was chosen at the age of fifteen to attend the Swedish Elite Camp, which is for selection into the Swedish Youth National Team.
 
Academically Josefine ranks in the top five percent of her graduating class. She is an ambassador for her high school, volunteered to go to Latvia on a charity trip, and has organized charity events for her school.
 
Josefine likes a wide variety of music and her favorite food is Chicken and Kebabs. She loves to travel, read, snowboard, and go shopping. She has many places she would like to visit including New York, Hollywood, and China. Her favorite athlete is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and her favorite team is the Swedish Women's National Team.
 
Josefine is the daughter of Patrick and Annelie Dahlberg and she has two siblings, Caroline and Gustav. Josefine is currently undecided on a major in at the University of Mary. Welcome to the Marauder Family, Josefine!

Nicole "Nikky" Farnsworth (F, 5-6, Pierre, S.D. / T.F. Riggs HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer followed the Lewis and Clark Trail to sign Nicole "Nikky" Farnsworth. Nicole is a quick and attacking-minded player who will play forward for the Marauders. Nicole comes to U-Mary from Pierre, South Dakota, where she played for T.F. Riggs High School. She is a competitive player that brings a tremendous amount of speed with her to the Marauders.

On the field, Nicole brings a tremendous resume with her from the Lady Govs. Nicole was an All-Conference and All-State honorable mention selection her sophomore year and an All-Conference first team player as a junior. The third-leading goal scorer in the state of South Dakota her junior year, she is a four-year letter winner in soccer, basketball and track at T.F. Riggs.

A member of the National Honors Society and on the 4.0 Honor Roll, Nicole has earned Academic All-State honors for soccer, basketball and track and is a tutor for freshmen students at her school.

Nicole's favorite genre of music is Hip-Hop and Rap. Her favorite food is State Fair Corndogs and her favorite color is purple. In her free time she loves to hang out with her family and friends. Her favorite place to visit is Paris, France. Nicole's favorite team is the U.S. Women's National Team and her favorite player is Alex Morgan.

Arianna Pongmany (MF, 5-3, Brooklyn Park, Minn. / Champlin Park HS)

The University of Mary Women's Soccer is excited to announce the signing of Arianna Pongmany from the Land of 10,000 lakes. A versatile midfielder who will bring quick combination play to the midfield, Arianna played her high school ball for Champlin Park High School as well as playing club soccer for both Minnesota Thunder Academy and Maplebrook Soccer Association. She is a hard working player and will add depth to the midfield ranks.

On the field, Arianna has been a part of many successful campaigns with the Champlin Park Rebels. She has been voted by her teammates as the Offensive MVP for the past two seasons as well as earning Minnesota All-State Honorable Mention honors.

Off the field, Arianna is very involved in her studies and will graduate with High Honors this spring. She also participates in Honors Concert Orchestra for Champlin Park High School.

Arianna is a big fan of rock music. She enjoys Sushi and Italian foods and her favorite colors are blue and black. In her free time she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music, and snowboarding. Her favorite place to visit is Hawaii. Arianna's favorite team is FC Barcelona and her favorite athletes are Messi and Megan Rapinoe.

Patricia Martin (F, 5-7, Clancy, Mont. / Helena HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer went to the "Big Sky Country" to sign Patricia Martin. Patricia is a quick and versatile attacking player  who will be featured in the front line to create scoring opportunities. A mainstay in the Helena High Lady Bengals line-up, she currently plays her club soccer for Helena Arsenal. Patricia is a quick and competitive player that will bring creativity up front with her to the Marauders Family.

On the field, Patricia was a part of many successful campaigns for Helena High School, helping the Lady Bengals to a state championship finish in 2015 and four straight conference championships (2012-2015). Named first team All-Conference and first team All-State her junior and senior years, She was also the Independent Record Player of the Year as a senior. Her club team won a state championship in 2014 and placed 2nd in 2015. Patricia also lettered in track and basketball at Helena High School.

Patricia received eight Academic All-State awards for maintaining her grades while participating in varsity sports, is a National Honor Society member and was on the honor roll all through high school. A volunteer at Exploration Works, which is a children's science museum, Patricia is also involved in her school's Health Occupations Students of America medical club.

Patricia's favorite color is purple and her favorite food is chicken alfredo. She loves to go skiiing and hiking in her free time and her favorite place to visit is the Bahamas. Her favorite athlete is Mia Hamm.

The daughter of Doug and Carrie Martin, she has a younger sister, Katie, who is a sophomore at Helena High School and also a member of the state championship team. Patricia plans to pursue an Exercise Science degree at the University of Mary. Welcome to the Marauders Family, Patricia!

Tiffany Ohlhauser (Defender, 5-4, Fr., Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer stays within the city limits to sign Tiffany Ohlhauser. A strong defensive player from Bismarck, N.D., Tiffany plays soccer for Bismarck Century High School and club soccer for Dakota United. Tiffany is a very competitive and hard-working player who will add depth to the Marauders roster in the backline and all defensive roles.

On the field, Tiffany has been a part of a successful three years at Century High School. She played on the state championship team in 2013 and the 2014 runner-up at the North Dakota State High School Tournament. She has started in the backline since her freshman year for the Patriots and will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring (2016).

Very involved in her community, Tiffany has coached for Dakota United Soccer Club in the academy system and also works in an after school program for HIT, which helps with mentally handicapped individuals. She was also the third runner up in the 2015 Miss North Dakota Teen Pageant.

Tiffany's favorite team is the Minnesota Vikings, who she enjoys watching with her dad on Sundays. Her favorite professional player is Carli Lloyd. Her favorite foods are spaghetti and chicken and she enjoys country and pop music. She enjoys hanging out with her friends in her free time as well as catching up on her favorite movies and TV shows. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite places to visit are the Dominican Republic and Hawaii.

The daughter of Monty and Judane Ohlhauser, ahe has two siblings, Heather (Ohlhauser) Howell, and Brandon Ohlhauser. Tiffany plans to study Radiology at the University of Mary. Welcome to the Marauders Family, Tiffany!

Taylor Weeks (D, 5-7, Fr., Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer found another local gem in Taylor Weeks. A very strong defender who brings an attacking presence to the backline, Taylor is a Bismarck native who competes for the Century High School Patriots as well as the Dakota United Soccer Club. She is an extremely competitive and brings a hard working mentality to the Marauders Family.

Taylor has been a part of many successful campaigns for Century High School, including a state championship in 2013 and a second place finish in 2014. This spring Taylor will be a four- year letter winner in the Patriot program and also a four-year varsity starter on a team that looks to defend their WDA Conference title and make a deep run in the state tournament this spring.

A member of the National Honors Society and a Presidential Fitness Award winner, Taylor works in the club soccer scene coaching youth players in the Dakota United Soccer Club.

Taylor is a big fan classic rock music and her favorite food is donuts. She loves to go hunting and fishing in her free time as well as working on art projects. Taylor's favorite place to visit is Montana, her favorite sports team is the Denver Broncos, and her favorite athlete is Payton Manning.

Alexa Hutzenbiler (Bismarck, N.D. / St, Mary's Central HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer brings in a strong local talent with the signing of Alexa Hutzenbiler. Alexa is a determined and strong attacking player that will find any way possible to score goals. A local Bismarck player who played for St. Mary's Central High School, Dakota United Soccer Club and has been attending the University of Mary since this past fall, Alexa is a competitive player who brings a blue collar work ethic to the Marauders family.

On the field, Alexa helped lead a St. Mary's program that is one of two sides to never miss a state tournament in North Dakota. She was a 2014 All-WDA Selection and an all-tournament team player and received 2015 All-WDA team and second team All-State honors. A four-year letter winner who helped the Saints to a 2013 WDA Conference Title, Alexa was also a letter winner in basketball and track and was selected to the 2015 ND Lions All-Star Basketball Game.

Off the field, Alexa was a National Honor Society member and made the honor roll four straight years at St. Mary's. She was selected for the National Army Reserve Scholar-Athlete award and made the honor roll her first semester at the University of Mary. Alexa is also a volunteer in the Big Brother/Big Sister program in Bismarck.

Alexa is a fan of country music, Eric Church being her favorite artists. Her favorite food is Knoephla and she loves hanging out with friends and family. Her favorite color is blue and her favorite place to visit is Europe. Her favorite team is the U.S. Women's National Team and her favorite athlete is Hope Solo.

Alexa is the daughter of Greg and Stacey Hutzenbiler. The oldest of five children, she has three brothers (Steven, Kyle, and Joe) and one sister (Jana). Alexa is currently studying Criminal Justice and Psychology at the University of Mary. Welcome to the Marauders Family, Alexa!

Kacee Bailey (Center Back, 5-6, Jr., Rancho Murieta, Calif. / Pleasant Grove HS / Folsom Lake Community College)

University of Mary Women's Soccer traveled west and struck gold in the "Golden State" with the signing of Kacee Bailey. Kacee is a strong central defender that brings a strong tactical and technical skill set with her and strong physical play. A transfer who played for the Folsom Lake College Falcons the past two seasons, Kacee is a native of Rancho Murieta, California. She is a very smart and competitive player that brings lots of experience to the Marauder family.

Kacee helped the Falcons finish atop of their league make it into the post-season. She was a 2014 second team All-Conference selection and earned 2015 first team all-conference honors and NSCAA All-Region second team recognition her sophomore season with the Falcons.

Off the field, Kacee is very involved in her community, including with "Evening of Dreams," which hosts a prom for disabled kids in the community. Kacee works for her local sheriff's department in the Forensics lab processing fingerprints and other samples to help catch criminals.

Kacee is a big fan of country music and her favorite food is pizza. Her favorite color is blue, her favorite places to visit are the beach and the mountains, and her favorite hobby is napping. Kacee's favorite team is the U.S. Women's National Team and her favorite athlete is Alex Morgan.

Kylee Welch (M/F, 5-2, Fr., Bismarck, N.D. / Century HS)

University of Mary Women's Soccer is keeping the strong local traditions going with the signing of Kylee Welch. Kylee is a versatile attacking-minded player that can play anywhere in the front line and create dangerous scoring chances. Kylee is a local Bismarck, N.D., player who competes at Century High School and for the Dakota United Soccer Club. She is an extremely driven player that brings a competitive edge with her to the Marauder family.

Kylee has been a part of many successful campaigns for Century High School, helping the Patriots to a state championship in 2013 and a second place finish in 2014. A first team All-State selection as a junior in 2015, she also was an all-state tournament team selection in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Kylee will be a four-year letter winner this spring for the Patriots, who embark to defend their WDA conference title.

Off the field, Kylee is a member of National Honor Society and is a Presidential Fitness Award winner. She will graduate Century High School as a Valedictorian. Kylee works with youth soccer players as an academy coach at Dakota United Soccer Club.

Kylee is a big fan of music, her favorite artist being Justin Beiber. Her favorite food is cereal and her favorite color is blue. In her free time she loves putting puzzles together and her favorite place to visit is Hawaii.

Hannah Smith (GK, 5-6, Jr., Sacramento, Calif. / Mira Loma HS / Folsom Lake College)

University of Mary Women's Soccer found a golden keeper from the "Golden State" with the signing of Hannah Smith. Hannah is an athletic goalkeeper that is very comfortable with the ball at her feet and vocally commands the game. Hannah comes to U-Mary from Sacramento, California, and is a transfer student from the Folsom Lake College Falcons. She is a very smart and technically sound keeper that will bring a lot of experience to the Marauders family.

Hannah helped backstop a very successful campaign in which the Falcons finished atop their league and made a run into the post-season this past fall. Hannah collected a lot of accolades in her time between the pipes at Mira Loma High School, where she was voted the Most Valuable Defensive Player her junior year and the Team MVP her senior year. Hannah also earned second team all-league as a senior. She played club soccer for River City United and in the WPSL for Primero De Mayo of the Pacific North Conference.

Very involved in her community, Hannah has attended her church's annual Mexicali mission trip every year and volunteers as a leader at her church's annual Vocation Bible School. Hannah works Folsom Top Soccer events and volunteers as a buddy to help athletes with special needs play soccer in a fun learning environment. Hannah has also completed her International Studies Program from her High School.

Hannah is a fan of any and all music and her favorite foods are sushi and pizza. Her favorite color is moss green. In her free time she likes to watch movies, go hiking, and do anything outdoors related. Hannah's favorite places to visit are Yosemite National Park and Huntington Beach California. Her favorite team is the U.S. Women's National Team.

Jean Daniel Bonhomme - M, 5-9, 150, Léogane, Haiti / Lycee Anacaona de Léogane
 
A standout athlete playing for the Haitian U17 National Team, Jean Daniel Bonhomme becomes the third member of the 2016 squad hailing from Haiti. Bonhomme joins Ken Metellus and assistant coach Ricardo Pierre-Louis and will anchor the midfield for the Marauders.
 
The son of Marie Rosana Sanon and Annacius Bonhomme, Jean plans to study business management while at the University of Mary.

Joseph Udo - M/F, 5-8, 150, Fr., Uyo, Nigeria / The Salvation Army Secondary School
 
Making his way from across the Atlantic, Joseph Udo joins the Marauders after participating in several sports while at the Salvation Army Secondary School in Uyo, Nigeria. Udo was extremely active in his amateur athletic career as he played soccer, volleyball, table tennis and ran several track events while in high school.
 
The son of Comfort and Ekom Udo, Joseph plans to study in the computer information studies program while at the University of Mary.

Varun Doshi - M, 5-8, 140, Fr., Anaheim, Calif. / Saint Paul High School
 
Specializing in four sports while at Saint Paul High School, Varun Doshi joins the 2016 squad to bolster the midfield for the Marauders. A member of the cross country, soccer, track and field, and volleyball teams, Doshi helped lead his team to a 13-5-0 overall, 6-0-0 league record as a senior at Saint Paul High School. Named the Most Dedicated Player, Doshi earned three letters in soccer, two in track and field, and one in volleyball during his four years at Saint Paul.
 
The son of Katherine and Hiten Doshi, Varun plans to study physical therapy while at the University of Mary.

Jakob Olsson - M, 5-8, 165, Fr., Bullaren, Sweden / Katrinelundsgymnasiet
 
Another member from Sweden to play for the Marauders, Jakob Olsson will join Christoffer Nogueira, André Almqvist, and Ludvig Rhodin to anchor the starting lineup. While attending Katrinelundsgymnasiet, Olsson was a member of the GAIS and Utsiktens BK soccer clubs and helped lead his team to a Division 1 series victory in the Gothenburg league and a second and third place finish in the Gothia Cup.
 
The son of René and Stig Olsson, Jakob plans to study music or computer engineering while at the University of Mary.

Michael Hertz - D, 5-9, 165, Fr., Mandan, N.D. / Bismarck High School
 
A two-sport standout from Bismarck High School, Michael Hertz joins the squad to provide depth left behind by three departing seniors in the defensive backfield. Hertz ran track for the Demons and was a four-time letter winner in soccer from 2012-15. Hertz finished with 18 goals and seven assists in his illustrious career and earned several accolades in his final two seasons at BHS. Hertz was named to the All-WDA Regional Team as a junior and followed that up with a All-WDA Regional Team selection as a senior, to go with a All-Tournament Team selection and a First Team All-State nomination while leading the Demons to a 2015 state championship.
 
The son of Kristin and Troy Hertz, Michael plans to study in the pre-chiropractic program concentration at the University of Mary.

Jordan Kaubisch - D, 5-10, 150, Jr., Sturgis, S.D. / Sturgis Brown High School / Laramie County CC
 
A transfer from Laramie County Community College, Jordan Kaubisch will provide depth to the defensive backfield left behind by the three departing seniors.
 
The son of Scott Kaubisch, Jordan plans to study business management while at the University of Mary.

Hampus Rasmussen - D, 5-9, 160 Linkoping, Sweden / Katedralsskolan
 
Adding another defender to the 2016 roster, Hampus Rasmussen will join fellow countrymen Nogueira, Rhodin, and Almqvist on the pitch for U-Mary. A team captain for U17 Allsvenskan, U19 Allsvenskan, and his district team, he also competed in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden.
 
The son of Liselott and Mats Rasmussen, Hampus is undecided on his study plans at the University of Mary.

Matias Marti - D, 5-11, Solna, Sweden / Rudbeck
 
Matias will be one of many players on U-Mary's 2016 roster hailing from Sweden as he will join Nogueira, Almqvist and Rhodin in the lineup.
 
The son of Maria Ljungqvist and Norbert Marti Martinez, Matias plans to study biology while at the University of Mary.

Jaden Allen - D, 6-1, 185, Fr., Gillette, Wyo. / Campbell County High School
 
A four-year letter winner in soccer from Campbell Country High School, Jaden Allen makes his way to Bismarck after a successful high school career in Gillette, Wyoming. Allen's career is highlighted by the fact he was named to First Team All-Conference for four straight years starting as a freshman and ending as a senior. Allen was named to First Team All-State as a sophomore, junior, and senior, and led his team to two regional championships and two runner-up finishes at the state tournament.
