BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary women's basketball team lost to Augustana (S.D.), 88-54, Saturday, Dec. 2 in front of 978 spectators at the McDowell Activity Center.

Lynsey Prosser scored a game-high 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting to lead the Vikings (10-2, 5-0 NSIC) to its fifth straight Northern Sun win of the season as Naomi Rust scored a career-high 17 points on 8-of-12 shooting for Augustana.Â
Mary redshirt-freshman forward
Gabbie Bohl lead the Blue & Orange in scoring for the second straight game as she finished with 13 points on 4-of-9 shooting and hauled down a team-high six rebounds in 28 minutes of play.

The Marauders (6-7, 1-4 NSIC) led 15-11 after the first quarter and took an eight point lead after a
Hannah Larson three-pointer with 7:27 to go in the second quarter but the Vikings used a 25-7 run over the last 7:13 of the quarter to take a 41-31 lead into halftime.

Augustana started the third quarter on a 12-4 and the Marauders trailed 55-39 with 4:10 left in the quarter as the Vikings shot 66.7 percent from the three-point line in the second half to outscore Mary 47-23 in the final two quarters.

Mary finished 3-of-24 (12.5 percent) from beyond the arc and shot 34.5 percent from the field compared to Augustana's 47.1 percent.

The Vikings scored 22 points off 21 Marauder turnovers as 19 of those 22 points came in the second and fourth quarters.

Mary will be back in action at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13 in Grand Forks, N.D., as the University of North Dakota hosts the Marauders.

It'll be the second meeting between the two teams and the first meeting in the last 10 years. UND beat Mary 78-68 in front 800 spectators at the McDowell Activity Center on Dec. 5, 2006.
