BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary women's basketball team outscored Yellowstone Christian College 27-2 in the first quarter en route to a 62-36 win over the Centurions Monday, Nov. 21 at the McDowell Activity Center.

The Marauders (5-3) held YCC (1-6) to 30 percent shooting and scored 14 second chance points compared to the Centurions zero to claim its fourth straight win of the 2016-2017 season.

Three Marauders finished in double-figures and went a combined 15-for-30 from the field.

Gabbie Bohl  finished with 12 points and hauled down five rebounds as teammate
Sawyer Kluge scored in double-figures for the first time in her career with the Marauders.

Kluge scored 12 points and finished 4-for-8 from the three-point line in 26 minutes of play.

Cassie Askvig was the last Marauder to find herself in double-figures, scoring 10 points on 5-of-12 shooting. Askvig also collected four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal.

The Marauders scored the first 25 points of the game but a jumper by Leonardine John gave YCC its only points of the quarter.

It looked to be a blowout after the first 10 minutes of the contest but Mary outscored the Centurions just 35-34 in the final three quarters.

The Marauders received 22 points from its bench and scored 30 points in the paint.

Mary received nine points from
Hannah Larson, eight points from
Lauren Rotunda, six points from
Dani Williams and five points from
Rachel Weir.

Larson also finished with a game-high 11 rebounds and collected three assists and blocked four YCC shots.

Larson is now just 14 points away from joining the 1,000 point club .

The Marauders shot 45 percent in the first half but went 7-for-27 (26 percent) in the second half.

Mary takes a few days off of competition after playing eight games in 18 days and will open up Northern Sun play against Minot State Saturday, Nov. 26 at 4 p.m. inside the McDowell Activity Center.
