BISMARCK, N.D. - Five Marauder student-athletes finished in double-figures and the University of Mary won its third straight game, 68-61 over Lake Superior State Sunday, Nov. 20 at the McDowell Activity Center.

Dani Williams and
Cassie Askvig each scored a team-high 16 points as teammates
Lauren Rotunda and
Gabbie Bohl added 12 apiece.
Hannah Larson finished 4-for-8 from the floor and scored 10 points as she finished with eight rebounds, three assists, four blocks and one steal.

The Marauders (4-3) took a 32-23 lead into halftime but the Lakers (1-4) outscored Mary 19-17 in the third quarter to find themselves trailing, 49-42.

LSSU used a 8-0 run late in the fourth quarter to trail 66-61 in the game. However, the Marauders hung tough defensively and didn't allow the Lakers to score another point in the game.

Mary held LSSU to 25 percent from the three-point line on 4-of-16 shooting but both teams shot 46 percent from the floor.

The Marauders scored 15 points off 16 Laker turnovers and received 16 points from its bench but LSSU won the points in the paint battle, 24-20.

The Lakers were led offensively by Mackenzie Edwards as she finished with a team-high 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting. She also dished out five assists.

The Marauders were active defensively, securing seven steals to the Lakers two.

Mary will play its second home game of the season at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21 at the McDowell Activity Center against Yellowstone Christian College.
