THIS WEEK
The University of Mary begins the Northern Sun phase of its 2015 schedule when the Marauders visit Minot State University on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Game time is 7 p.m. at Herb Parker Stadium. The Marauders then remain on the road for a weekend series in northern Minnesota. U-Mary plays at Bemidji State University on Saturday, Sept. 19, and the University of Minnesota Crookston on Sunday, Sept. 20. Game time for both weekend tilts is 1 p.m.

THE RECORDS
The Marauders are 0-1-1 on the season, both non-conference games… Minot State is 2-1 overall… Bemidji State is 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC after an opening day win over Minnesota Crookston… Minnesota Crookston is 0-3-1, including a 2-1 road loss at Bemidji State to open the season.

LAST WEEK
In its only game of the week, the Marauders lost a tough 7-0 decision to 8
th ranked Central Missouri.

ROAD WARRIORS
After opening at home against MSU-Billings, U-Mary has six straight road games and won't play at home until hosting Upper Iowa on Oct. 3. After last week's visit to Central Missouri, the Marauders now visit Minot State, Bemidji State, Minnesota Crookston, Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State.

BACK TO BACK BEAVERS
Two teams in the Northern Sun are nicknamed Beavers and wear green and the Marauders will face both in back-to-back games. The first Beavers opponent is Minot State on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Next on the docket is a road game at Bemidji State on Saturday, Sept. 19.

OCTOBERFEST
After a September spent mainly on the road, the Marauders play six on nine games scheduled in October at home. Overall, seven of the Marauders final ten games will be played in Bismarck.

It has been 249 minutes 33 seconds since a goal has been scored in a Mary-Minot State soccer game. The last two games were scoreless draws. The last goal scored was off the foot of the Marauders' Alex Bachman-Williams at the 60:33 mark of a 2012 NSIC playoff contest between the two schools, a 2-1 Beavers win on Oct. 31, 2012.

SERIES MARKS
U-Mary holds a 2-1-3 career mark against Minot State. U-Mary has posted four shutouts in the six matches, including both Marauders wins… In a series that started in 1997, U-Mary holds a commanding 12-5-1 edge over Bemidji State, including a 7-2-1 mark all-time at home and 5-3-0 mark on the road. BSU has won the last two meetings, including a 5-0 home win in 2013 and a 2-1 victory on an overtime penalty kick last year in Bismarck… U-Mary is 7-1-2 against Minnesota Crookston since the Marauders joined the Northern Sun in 2006. The Marauders are 4-0-1 at home against the Golden Eagles, the only blemish last season's 1-1 draw. U-Mary is 3-2-1 all-time at UMC. The two teams have tied their last two meetings, including a scoreless contest at UMC in 2013.

SENIOR LEADERSHIP
Five seniors have started this season for the Marauders with four playing defensive positions.
Emily Christensen,
Jacquelyn Smith and
Mykala Benjamin all are defenders and join with senior goalkeeper Baily Wenz to provide an experienced back line for U-Mary. A fifth senior,
Destiny Glaser, plays midfield and will also see time on defense.
FRESHMEN FINDS
Three freshmen have found their way into the starting lineup already this season. Cailin Dooley, a defender, and midfielder
Nicole Wolfer have started both games this season for U-Mary and forward
Jade Smith has one start. After her first collegiate game, Dooley was named the NSIC Defender of the Week for her role in a shutout of MSU Billings in the opening game of the year.
