Last Week: The Marauders had to face the full-court press of the Vikings for the majority of the game in the previous week and for the most part, U-Mary was able to counter the added pressure. Sloan Turner had a career night when she set a new career high in points scored with 27 and added 12 rebounds for her second double double in a row. The Marauders held on to the lead at halftime, 39-37, but the Vikings were the one team that wouldn't go away quietly. With U-Mary up 73-65 with 2:18 on the clock, Augustana doubled up on the full-court press and eventually closed the gap on the Marauders to tie the game at 77-77 at the end of regulation and send the game into overtime.  U-Mary struggled to get the offense going in the extra frame and 12 made free throws from the Vikings turned the game into a runaway as the Marauders fell 93-83. U-Mary built their momentum back up in the first half of the game against Wayne State the next night, but the Wildcats turned the tide starting with a buzzer-beating half court shot that narrow the Marauder lead from 31-21 at halftime to 31-24. The second half turned into a defensive battle as the Marauders stayed within eight points of Wayne State, but couldn't get the offense in gear and eventually fell 68-60 to the Wildcats. Turner kept the fire going with 21 ponts and just missed out on her third double double in a row with nine rebounds. Dani Williams has come on strong as of late and recorded 14 points, her third time in four games recording double digit points.

History: The Marauders are 1-8 all-time against Minnesota State with the lone victory in Bismarck back in 2011. The Marauders are 4-9 all-time against Concordia-St. Paul and have only won one game in the last five meetings between the teams in 2012, again in Bismarck.

Next week: U-Mary returns home for their last regular season home games against Bemidji State University on Friday, February 13, before hosting the University of Minnesota, Crookston, on Saturday, February 14.
