Military Appreciation and Senior Day set for U-Mary's Friday Dual against the Dragons

Grapplers Wrap Up Regular Season with Duals against Northern State and MSU Moorhead

BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary grapplers will finish out their regular season with conference duals against Northern State University on Wednesday, February 18, and Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday, February 20.

The Wolves (2-11, 0-6 NSIC) only wins have come at home against the University of Jamestown and Dakota Wesleyan University. The Dragons (6-5, 2-4 NSIC) have won three out of their last four duals, with the wins coming against Minot State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, and Simon Fraser University.

This will be the last home dual of the year for the Marauders and it will also be their Senior Day and Military Appreciation Day. The North Dakota National Guard will be providing the singlets for Friday's dual against MSU Moorhead, and the Marauders will be honoring their two seniors, John DeVito and Hunter Menendez.

DeVito has come on strong this season, pushing his record to 19-11 after splitting his matches two weeks ago against Southwest Minnesota and Augustana College. While in Division-II, DeVito has set Marauders records in several categories, including 75 takedowns, 49 escapes, and eight major decisions.

Menendez has also improved a lot in his senior season, improving his record over the previous years to 11-15 overall. Menendez has nearly doubled his win total from 13 in his first three years wrestling for U-Mary.

After this week, the Marauders will have the NCAA Super Regional 3, in Mankato, Minn., before the start of the National Championships in St. Louis, Mo.
