BREAKTHROUGH
After a heartbreaking double overtime golden goal 4-3 loss at Sioux Falls, U-Mary rebounded to defeat Southwest Minnesota State University 2-1 on Sunday. The game didn't start with much promise as the Mustangs scored less than a minute into the game. U-Mary fought back to tie the game on freshman Caylin Cathey's second goal of the weekend and the season in the 11th minute. Junior Megan Searson then scored the game-winner on a free kick in the 30th minute. Goalkeeper Bailey Wenz helped the Marauders hold on down the stretch as the Mustangs took eight corner kicks and four shots – two on frame – in the final 15 minutes of the match.

FIRST AND SECOND
Freshman Caylin Cathey found the back of the net twice in two days last weekend, scoring the first goals of her collegiate career. The midfielder from Billings, Mont., provided the Marauders a 2-1 lead early in the second half of the Sioux Falls contest before knotting Sunday's win at Southwest Minnesota State with a counter in the 11th minute.

DOUBLE TROUBLE
Caylin Cathey and Megan Searson both scored in both games last weekend. It was the first two collegiate goals for Cathey while Searson now has five.

FREE FLOWING
Meagan Searson leads the Marauders with four goals this season. Her first two were scored on penalty kicks. Last weekend the junior midfielder scored twice on free kicks after the opposition was called for fouls just outside the 18' box.

HALL OF FAME
Former U-Mary soccer player Jessica (Janusz) Keller (2005-08) was inducted into the Marauders Hall of Fame during last weekend's homecoming festivities. Keller was a key ingredient in the Marauders successful transition from NAIA competition to NCAA Division II. In U-Mary's first season in the Northern Sun, Keller led the Marauders to the 2006 NSIC tournament championship, scoring the golden goal in a 1-0 win over Winona State in the championship game. She earned tournament most valuable player honors and made the All-NSIC third team. In 2007 Janusz led the Marauders to a second straight NSIC tournament titles and a spot in the NCAA tournament, a first for a U-Mary team in any sport. She earned All-NSIC 2nd team honors in 2007 and was a first team selection as a senior in 2008. Keller finished her career with 30 goals, 22 assists and 82 points, ranking eighth all-time at U-Mary in each category. Keller was an NSCAA all-region third team selection in 2006, a first team choice in 2007 and was named to the Daktronics all-region second team in 2008. A native of Bismarck and a graduate of St. Mary's Central High School, Keller is the daughter of Jim and Mary Janusz.
