U-Mary wrestling closes dual season with loss to SMSU

MARSHALL, Minn.—Concluding Northern Sun competition Saturday afternoon, the University of Mary wrestling team (2-10, 1-7 NSIC) fell 44-3 to Southwest Minnesota State University (12-5, 6-2), who boasts six regionally ranked wrestler.

Alec Lindsey picked up the only win for the Marauders at 141. Lindsey came away with a 4-0 decision over Ethan Hildebrandt, who is ranked second in the NSIC.
 
Brock Krumm battled at 165, but ultimately fell by decision 12-9 to Kyle Begin, who is ranked third in the region.

285 Cole Wilson (SMSU) won by pin over Jonah Westbury (U-Mary) 5:19.  

With the dual season complete, U-Mary will compete at the 2014 NCAA Division II Central Regional in Edmond, Okla. Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
