LAST TIME OUT:The University of Mary has not competed since Jan. 5 then it participated in the Central Missouri Duals. In its first action of the new year, the U-Mary wrestling team competed in a tournament that featured two teams ranked in the top 15 and 10 nationally ranked individuals. U-Mary finished the day with a team mark of 1-3. Trevor Johnson (149) highlighted the Marauders effort finishing the day with a 3-1 mark. Johnson's only loss of the day came at the hands of No. 3 Frank Cagnina in a 9-4 decision.
THIS WEEK: U-Mary will host 4 St. Cloud State and 7 Upper Iowa. The Marauders will host the Huskies on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the Peacocks on Sunday at 2 p.m.
SOCIAL: Parent's and fans are invited to join U-Mary wrestling a Reza's Pitch following the match for food and a chance to talk with the Marauders coaching staff.

THE RECORDS: U-Mary has competed in six duals and is 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the NSIC. The Marauders only win came in a 27-22 decision over Newman. SCSU is 13-1 on the season and 2-0 in NSIC competition. The Huskies only loss of the season came against current #1 Notre Dame (Ohio). Upper Iowa is 11-1-1 on the season and 3-0 in the NSIC. The Peacocks only loss of the season came against current #6 ranked Fort Hays State.
RECENT HISTORY: The Marauders have lost to the Huskies each of the last four years. In all four of those meeting SCSU has been ranked in the top-10 nationally. The Marauders have also fallen to the Peacocks the past four years. Trevor Johnson won his match against both opponents last year.
SCSU is ranked # 4 in the lastest Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Poll. The poll also has five different Huskies ranked among the top eight nationally at their weight class. No. 2 Andy Pokorny (133) is the highest rated SCSU wrestler and Austin Goergen (285) is not far behind at No. 3. The Huskies have won their last six duals.
UIU is ranked # 7 in the latest Division II Wrestling Coaches Association Poll. The poll also has four different Peacocks ranked among the top eight nationally at their weight class. No. 2 Carl Broghammer (197) is the highest rated UIU wrestler. Blake Sorenson (184) is the next highest rated Peacocks wrestler at No. 4.
CLASH OF THE TITANS: The most anticipated match of the weekend will take place on Sunday as No. 7 Trevor Johnson takes on No. 5 Edwin Cooper at 149. The match-up will be key going forward as they are the only two ranked at 149 in the Northern Sun.
SO FAR THIS SEASON: U-Mary has competed in four open meets and six duals. UM's only dual win came at the UCM Duals when it defeated Newman 27-22. Trevor Johnson, ranked seventh in the nation at 149, placed in both opens he has participated in, including a title at the Cobber open. Johnson is leading the team with a 14-2 record. His losses came against a Division I opponent and No. 3 Frank Cagnina of Central Missouri. Brock Krumm has a 9-9 record and is U-Mary's only other wrestler ranked regionally at No. 8 at 165.
UP NEXT: U-Mary will next be in action as it hosts Minot State University on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. The Marauders will take time to honor their seniors prior to the night's match.
