Bismarck, N.D. – In their final dual of the season the University of Mary fell 27-12 at the hands of Northern State University. U-Mary was without All-American
Trevor Johnson and forfeited at 141.
Ranked #1 in the nation, Matthew Meurleners of Northern State (5-10, 2-5 NSIC) pinned
Levi Roemmich at 1:53.
U-Mary (3-7, 2-6 NSIC) actually won four of the nine matches that took place, but the forfeit at 141 and pins at 131 and 285 were just too much to overcome.
U-Mary was pinned in the first match of the night, but
Hunter Menendez answered at 133 with a 1-0 decision. Senior
Collin Engelhardt and sophomore
Brock Krumm each picked up decisions at 157 and 165 respectively. Krumm's win gives him 15 on the season.
Brady Anderson rounded out the scoring for U-Mary with an 11-4 win. Anderson has now won eight of his last nine matches.
