Named the 2012-13 Marauders Male Athlete of the Year, Trevor Johnson won the Super Region 3 championship at 141 for the second straight year to earn consecutive trips to the NCAA championships. Nearly unbeatable all season, the junior from Bismarck, ND, entered the NCAA championships with a 21-match win streak and a 14-0 mark against Division II opposition. Johnson, ranked second in the nation at his weight class, opened up with a win at nationals before dropping his next two matches. The 2012 All-American finished the 2012-13 season 31-6 overall with four of the losses coming against Division I foes, picking up All-Northern Sun honors for the second straight year. Johnson also earned NSIC All-Academic honors.
