Chris Cody joined the University of Mary as the Athletics Communications Director in February 2024. Cody had previously worked at UMary as the Sports Information graduate assistant from 2020-22 as he graduated with a master's degree in project management specialization.
He graduated from the University of West Florida in December of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in communications. At UWF he worked in the Argos athletic communications department for over two years as a student-worker and intern.
While at UWF Cody also worked for the student newspaper “The Voyager,” covering various sports including men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, and football. He covered the UWF football team’s first-ever playoff win for “The Voyager” and worked as a student-worker when the football team won the NCAA Division II national championship in 2019.
Cody serves as the primary contact for eight NCAA Division II sports at UMary (volleyball, men’s and women’s golf, swimming & diving, women’s basketball, wrestling, softball, and tennis).
