Christa Jung

Entering her second season with the University of Mary volleyball program, Christa Jung joined the Marauders coaching staff as a graduate assistant in 2011 after a successful start to her collegiate coaching career.

An assistant coach at St. Catherine (MN) University in 2010, Jung worked primarily with blockers and assisted in the recruiting duties as the Wildcats qualified for their conference tournament for the first time in over 16 years. Also a coach with Minnesota Premier and Minnesota Select club teams, her Select team finished top 20 at the AAU National tournament.

The Andover, MN, native graduated Magna Cum Laude from Michigan Tech University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in coaching. A two-time team captain, Jung led the Huskies volleyball team to two NCAA Division II Regional Tournament appearances and into three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference tournaments. She also helped MTU lead the nation in blocks one season. Off the court, Jung was president of Blue Key Honor Society, a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee, and the Psychology Department representative on the Student Commission Board at MTU. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Strategic Leadership at the University of Mary.
