Biography

PRIOR TO UMARY
Emily Keller achieved four years of the varsity letter at Dickinson High School for track and field and ice hockey. She was a state track and field placer for four years consisting of 8th and two 5th place awards in the 4x400 meter relay, 5th and 3rd place in the 4x200 meter relay, and 8th in long jump. Her freshman year consisted of qualifying in the 4x400 meter relay. Sophomore year including the 4x400 and 4x200 meter relays. During her junior year, Keller was qualified in the 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, 4x100, 4x200, and 4x400 meter relays, and long jump. Finally, her senior year she had qualified the 4x100, 4x200, 4x400, 4x800, and long jump. Emily’s name is displayed on the wall being the third leg of the school record breaking 4x200 meter relay team. She was a left wing at North Dakota state hockey 2018, which was the DHS girls first ice hockey team to make it to the state tournament and win more than one game. 

She was also voted hardest worker for the varsity cross country team. Emily participated in many clubs including National Honor Society, Dollars for Scholars, Close Up, and Science Club. She spent her off hours twice a week volunteering at St. John’s Church and the local food and clothing pantry. Keller also taught various science lessons to local elementary schools. She participated in every DHS blood drive, donating each time and graduating with a red cord as well as high honors. She is the daughter of Brian Keller and Amy Black and is majoring in biology.
