Ida Narbuvoll is in her first year of being a part of the UMary coaching staff after spending the last five years as a Scholar-Athlete for the Marauders. The highlights of Narbuvoll’s career as a collegiate runner include earning 6 first-team All-American honors and 3 second-team All-American honors, two national titles, 13 individual conference titles, breaking 3 school records on the track, and setting the D2 National Championship Record in the 5,000m. She was also named the 2021 National Track Athlete of the Year and the 2021 National Track Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Narbuvoll was a part of 8 conference team titles in Cross Country and Track and one team runner-up finish at the D2 National Cross County Championships. Following the conclusion of her career at UMary, Narbuvoll was the runner-up in the 2021 Norwegian National Championships in the 5,000m and she was the National Champion in the 10,000m. Ida is continuing to train in hopes of representing Norway at the international level.
 
Narbuvoll graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2020 and a master’s degree in Project Management in 2021. She currently works as a Transportation Engineer for the North Dakota Department of Transportation, where she is part of a team managing the bridges in North Dakota.
 
Narbuvoll is a native from Narbuvoll, Norway, and moved to the U.S. to study and run after high school. She spent her freshman year in Pennsylvania and moved to Bismarck thereafter. She met her husband, Jamison Dietrich, at the University of Mary and the two of them reside in Bismarck with their dog, Luna. Besides of running, Narbuvoll enjoys spending her free time cross country skiing, hiking, cooking, and relaxing with a good cup of coffee.
