A multi-sport athlete, Maria Zimdars is a four-year starter for Dawson County High School in Glendive, Mont. A 6-foot-2 post player, Zimdars was a second team all-conference player last season as a junior when she averaged 16.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Her points per game average was fifth in Class A girls basketball in Montana and she won her team's "Head and Heart" award.
 
The Bloomfield, Mont., native also has competed in volleyball, track and softball, earning honorable mention all-conference honors in volleyball as a sophomore. She played basketball in Australia in the summer of 2014.
 
Off the court Zimdars has been involved in Key Club, student council, youth groups, 4-H, Future Farmers of America and off-road racing. President of her school's National Honor Society as a senior, Maria is the daughter of Mary and Ty Zimdars and intends to major in social work at U-Mary.
