The all-time leading scorer at the University of Minnesota Crookston, Jamie Zelinsky joins the University of Mary women’s basketball coaching staff. Beginning in the 2012-2013 season, Zelinsky will serve as a Graduate Assistant Coach.
Graduating from Park Center High School in Minnesota, Zelinsky was a 1,000 point scorer. The all-time leading scorer in Park Center history was named All-State her senior year.
Zelinsky began her career at UMC with a splash as she was named NSIC Co-Freshman of the year for her efforts. She was also named third-team All-NSIC that year. As a sophomore, Zelinsky was named All-NSIC again, this time second team. Averaging a team-high 16 points per game she was fourth in the Northern Sun in Scoring. Junior year Zelinsky led UMC in points, rebounds and blocked shots. Her efforts were rewarded as she was named second team all-conference. In her final year for the Golden Eagles, Zelinsky led her team in points and assists. This time she received first team All-NSIC honors for her play.
Zelinsky finished her career at Minnesota Crookston with a program record 1,724 points and was named the Minnesota Crookston athlete of the year three times. The four-time all-conference team member, Zelinsky started all 108 games for the Golden Eagles in her four-year career.
Zelinsky graduated from Crookston with a degree in Sports and Recreation Management with a minor in Coaching.
As a graduate student at U-Mary, Zelinsky will be pursuing an MBA in Management.
