2021-22 (Junior)
During Strom's Junior Season, he had PR's in the mile, 3k, and 5k. He took 4th in the 5k and 6th in the 3k at the NSIC Indoor Championship. Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2020-21 (Sophomore)
In Strom’s second year at the University of Mary, he ran an indoor time of 14:52 in the 5k, placing himself 5th overall at the conference meet. In Dawson’s first outdoor season he ran a time of 14:42 at the conference meet, where he placed 7th overall.
 
2019-20 (Freshman) 
In Dawson's first cross country season as a Marauder, he ran a time of 18:44 in the 6000m, 25:42 in the 8000m, and 31:40 in the 10,000m run. Dawson finished 20th overall at the conference meet in Wayne, Nebraska, earning him an All-Conference placement. He also placed 27th overall at the regional meet.

In his first indoor season, Strom ran times of 15:03 in the 5000m run and a time of 8:48 in the 3000m run. Dawson placed 5th overall in the 5000m at the conference meet in Mankato, MN. 

PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
In High School, Dawson ran PR times of 15:53 in the 5000m, 9:42 in the 3000m and 4:22 in the 1600m. Dawson was a 2 time MN state participant in cross country, placing 25th overall, earning himself an All-State athlete spot. Dawson was also a 3 time MN state track & field participant. In his Junior year, he participated in the 4x800 meter relay and placed 8th overall, helping his team earn an All-State spot again. In Strom's senior year he ran the 1600m and 3200m at the MN state track & field meet.
 
Personal
Dawson is a graduate of Moorhead High School in Moorhead, MN. Dawson is the son of Jim and Tracy Strom. He has a younger sister named Chloe who is a Junior at Moorhead High School as well.
