Evan Connolly enters his second season as assistant coach at the University of Mary. Connolly was apart of the best NCAA DII program record last year after he came from Rocky Mountain College. Connolly, a native of the Republic of Ireland, spent five years at Rocky. His first fours years were spent playing under former University of Mary Men's Soccer All American Richard Duffy, where his team went to three straight National Tournaments. Connolly captained the team his senior season where they failed to advance past the first round of the tournament.

Connolly hails from a small town called Tramore, located in county Waterford. His college career didn't stop with soccer. His fifth year of play was for the Rocky Mountain College Football team, never having played before Connolly earned first team all conference awards along with second team all American awards as a place kicker. Along with a special teams player of the week, Connolly was 19-21 on field goals in his only football season.

The adventure didn't stop there for Connolly, pursuing the NFL was a goal for the Irish kicker. Attending a college senior combine along with an NFL free agent combine he kicked in front of NFL teams. Unfortunately he has not been picked up yet, but did sign for the Bismarck Bucks CFL indoor team last season.

Connolly graduated with a bachelors of science in exercise science from Rocky, and is pursuing his Masters of Science in Business at the University of Mary. Connolly is also pursuing his USSF 'D' license.
