The University of Mary Marauders

Rickey Suggs played for the Gillette College Pronghorns for two seasons before joining the Marauders. As a sophomore in 2014-15, Gillette compiled a record of 27-8 and advanced to the first round of the NJCAA Division I championships. Playing with his brother Renard, who now plays at Washington State, Rickey averaged 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 43.2 percent from the field. Rickey was a key player off the bench for Gillette in 2013-14 as the Pronghorns finished 29-4 and advanced to the Region IX championship game. Starting three of 33 games, he averaged 7.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 16.6 minutes a contest.
 
A native of Woodbury, Minn.,  played for the Royals of Woodbury High School in the St. Paul, Minnesota area with his brother, Renard (also a Gillette College Pronghorn). At Woodbury, Rickey achieved all-state, all-conference, defensive player of the year and most valuable player honors at Woodbury High School where he averaged 15 points, 11 reboards, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals per game. He also Suggs also played on the Howard Pulley AAU team. The son of Rickey Sr. and Starr Suggs, he has a brother (Renard) and two sisters.
