2013-14 SEASON
Started the first four games at point guard before a knee injury cost him the season… Received a medical hardship and will still have two seasons of collegiate basketball remaining… Scored in double digits in his first two games with the Marauders, posting 13 points with three assists and three steals in a win over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and 12 points and five assists in a win against Presentation… Was injured in game four of the season against Fresno Pacific in a tournament held in Alaska… In limited duty averaged 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists.

PRIOR TO U-MARY
A two-time first team all-region performer at Southwestern (Iowa) Community College, Marquealis Edwards is a 6-2, 190 pound combo guard who scored over 1,000 points in two seasons at SCC, located in Creston, IA.

As a sophomore in 2012-13, Edwards averaged 16.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game and led the Spartans to a record of 15-15. Ranked 17^th in the nation in steals, he posted career highs of 32 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists throughout the season. His efforts earned him NJCAA Division II All-Region XI first team honors for the second straight season. Edwards was the only returning first team choice.
 
As a freshman for Southwestern in 2011-12, Edwards averaged 17.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.9 steals to garner first team all-region honors for the first time.
 
A 2011 graduate of St. Louis Park (MN) High School, Edwards averaged 14.7 points and eight rebounds per game to lead his squad to a record of 18-10. His effort earned him first team all-conference recognition.
 
Marquealis is the son of Theresa Edwards and John Barrow.
