PRIOR TO UMARY
Evan Anderson joins the University of Mary from Houston Baptist University, where he played seven games as a freshman in 2015-16 for the NCAA Division I Huskies. He averaged 1.6 points per game, including a season-high four in a win over Ecclesia, and 0.9 rebounds per game while making 50 per cent of his shots from the floor.
 
A 2015 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, Wis., Anderson was team captain and earned second team all-conference and all-county honors after averaging 13 points and 6.4 assists/game. He was also the team MVP and defensive player of the year while earning academic all-conference honors. As a junior he scored 8.3 points/game and delivered 3.5 assists/game to earn honorable mention all-conference honors.
 
Anderson is the brother of Steve McWorter, who played collegiately at Indiana State and UW-Milwaukee and is a professional player in the Dutch Basketball League.
 
A National Honor Society member in high school, Evan is the son of Kimberly Anderson and intends to major in electrical engineering at the University of Mary.
