Scott Edwards begins his second stint as the University of Mary offensive coordinator in 2013. He initially ran the Marauders offense from 1998-2001, including the first three seasons Myron Schulz was the U-Mary head coach (1999-2001).
 
Edwards returned to the Marauders after six seasons as the head football coach at Bret Harte High School in Angels Camp, CA, where he also taught physical education.
 
During Edwards’ four seasons at U-Mary, the Marauders compiled a record of 35-9, captured three conference titles and advanced to the NAIA playoffs all four seasons. In addition to coordinating the offensive attack he also coached the Marauders offensive line and tight ends.
 
In the first year Schulz and Edwards worked together as head coach and offensive coordinator in 1999, the Marauders set school single season offensive records in rushing yards (2,729), rushing touchdowns (32), total touchdowns (65) and total points (460).
 
Edwards began his coaching career at Mendocino College in Ukiah, CA, where he was the defensive coordinator and coached the defensive line and linebackers (1996). The following year he was the defensive line coach at American River College in Sacramento, CA (1997), before coming to U-Mary.
 
In 2002 Edwards made the jump to NCAA Division II as the special teams coordinator and running backs coach for Northern State University. After one season in Aberdeen, SD, he returned to his home state of California as the offensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Sacramento City College from 2003-05.
 
An offensive lineman in college at American River College, Eastern New Mexico University and California State University, Chico, Edwards would earn a physical education degree from CSU, Chico in 1996 and a Master’s degree from U-Mary in 2000.
