Rhonda Olson joined the University of Mary Athletic Staff in 2000 as the Head Athletic Trainer.  As the Sports Medicine Director, Rhonda oversees a Sports Medicine staff that includes two full-time athletic trainers, three part-time athletic trainers, and one graduate assistant. In addition, Rhonda and her staff serve as preceptors for the students in the Athletic Training Education Program at UMary.

Prior to joining the UMary, Rhonda worked for the St. Alexius Human Performance Center. During that time she directed the Acceleration Program, served as the athletic trainer for St. Mary’s Central High School, coordinated sports medicine coverage for regional and state tournaments hosted in Bismarck, and worked in sports medicine.

A Velva, ND, native, Rhonda earned a B.S. degree in Athletic Training from North Dakota State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Mary. She is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Collegiate Athletic Trainers’ Society, and the Institute for Collegiate Sports Medicine. 

Rhonda and her husband, Lance, have two sons: Kyler and Jaren.
