Nick Voorhees

Entering his second season on the University of Mary coaching staff, Nick Voorhees will coach the Marauders running backs in 2018 as UMary transitions to a spread offense. In the 2017 season he coached Wide Receivers in a triple option offense. Five of his players accounted for seven touchdowns catches and averaged over 16 yards per catch.

Voorhees comes from Orlando, FL, where he was the Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach at Freedom High School. While there he coached two All-District performers and served as a Bowl Scout for the Inaugural AutoNation Cure Bowl between teams from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference.

Prior to his time at Freedom High, Voorhees spent four seasons as the Wide Receivers Coach at Lake Minneola High School in Minneola, FL, where he helped the program make an appearance in the Florida State Play-offs in just the school's third year of existence.

Voorhees graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2013 with a degree in Sports & Fitness with specialization in Coaching. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Physical Education and Athletic Administration at the University of Mary.
