Kyle Smith joins the University of Mary football staff for the 2013 season as a graduate assistant wide receivers coach. He joined the Marauders after two seasons as an assistant coach at Dickinson State University (2011-2012) in charge of wide receivers and quarterbacks.
A native of Fort Collins, CO, Smith arrived at DSU in 2007. After playing one season for the Blue Hawks, he moved into coaching after sufferening a hand injury. His first coaching experiece came at Hagen Junior High in Dickinson where he worked with the offense. Smith later was the head coach at Hagen.
In his first season at DSU, Smith started working with the wide receivers and added quarterback duties during the season.
