Scott Platt

Scott Platt enters his second year as an Assistant Baseball Coach at The University of Mary. Coach Platt oversees the Marauder offense and is heavily involved in recruiting efforts.

In 2020/21 Platt helped guide the Marauders to a program record 21 wins and their first ever NSIC post season appearance. The Marauders offense broke several program records; highlighted by the team home run record (50). All in a COVID abbreviated regular season. The offensive group was led by Derek Shoen and Calvin James; each of whom were named first team all NSIC performers.

Coach Platt comes to the University of Mary after serving as an assistant coach at National Junior College powerhouse Iowa Western Community College. Prior to Iowa Western, Coach Platt played professional baseball in France, and served as a Head Coach for the Central Nebraska Baseball Academy.

The Native of Longmont, Colorado was a two-year letter winner at The University of Nebraska at Kearney earning all-conference honors his Senior year. Prior to his time at UNK Coach Platt spent two years at Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado, earning all-conference honors as a sophomore. Scott graduated from Silver Creek High School in Longmont, Colorado.

Platt holds a Bachelor of Science from Fort Hays State University.
