The University of Mary Marauders

Former professional and NCAA Division I baseball player Nick Emanuel joined the University of Mary baseball staff as an assistant coach in July 2025 with four seasons of college coaching experience and a season coaching in the Northwoods League on his resume.
 
A native of Esko, MN, Emanuel's professional career began with the Great Falls Voyagers of the MLB-partnered Pioneer League, where he signed in 2021 and played through 2023. His capability was evident right away, posting a .284 batting average with an impressive .441 on base percentage (OBP) in 2021. He improved his batting average to .307 in 2022 with a .367 OBP.
 
Prior to his professional stint, Emanuel was a standout at NCAA Division I North Dakota State University, where he played from 2017 to 2021. As a catcher, his career fielding percentage of .995 set a school record. The team captain for the Bison his senior season, Emanuel led his team to the Summit League Championship and earned a spot on the 2021 All-Tournament Team.
 
Emanuel graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Science in Management Communication, complemented by minors in Business Administration and Sociology and certificates in Professional Selling and Coaching. His academic achievements included a 3.4 GPA, Dean's List honors, and participation in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
 
Prior to joining UMary, Emanuel was the assistant baseball coach at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clair in 2024-25. He served as the hitting, catching, and third base coach for the La Crosse Loggers in the Northwoods League in 2024, where his team won the Great Plains Division Championship and set team records for stolen bases and runs scored. Emanuel began his college coaching career at the University of Wisconsin Superior as an assistant coach from 2021-24.
