The University of Mary Marauders

The Marauders Armada supports scholar-athlete scholarships at the University of Mary.

We launched our strategic plan, Greatness Through Virtue, which details our mission to create a department-wide culture committed to individual and collective greatness through virtuous leadership. It’s our game plan to become the preeminent intercollegiate athletic department for developing the greatness within each human person through the practice of virtue and the formation of authentic friendships. We are pursuing greatness through virtue – for life.

The Armada has helped us be competitive on the recruiting field, offering some of the best scholarships in our division. With your help, we will continue to offer generous scholarships to our scholar-athletes.

Membership Levels

In Competition

• 18 NCAA Division II varsity sports offered.
• Home to multiple NCAA Division II national champions, including a national champion wrestler in 2025.

In the Classroom

• School-record 29 Marauder scholar-athletes earned the NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction Award in 2026.
• Those honors represent the most in school history for a single year.
  (Note: This award goes to seniors with a 3.75+ cumulative GPA — one of the highest academic accolades in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.)

In the Community

• While Marauders don’t publicly publish total service hours, Marauder athletes are known for regular community involvement through service events tied to academic, leadership, and athletics initiatives each year.
