Biography

2021-22 (Sophomore)
Did not compete due to injury. Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team.

2020-21 (Freshman)
As a Freshman, Joseph qualified for the indoor Conference in the 600-meter, placing 14th and was a leg on the 6-place distance medley relay team. Joseph also qualified for the outdoor Conference in the 800-meter, placing 18th. Joseph was a leg in the 3rd place 4x400 meter relay team at Conference. His biggest freshman accomplishment was running a personal best in the 800 with a time of 1:56.05.

PRIOR TO UMARY
High School

During his high school career, he had some great performances.  In 2018, his sophomore season, he ran the anchor leg for the 4x800m team that placed 1st in Regionals. In 2019, his junior year, he turned out his best times in the open 800m (2:00.94) and the open 400m (53.13). He competed in the Howard Wood Relays and placed 1st in both the 4x800m and the 4x400m relays.  At the Regional meet, he placed 3rd in the open 800m. He ran his fastest split time of 1:59.40 on the 4x800m State Champion team.  He also went on to run his fastest split time of 51.80 on the 4x400 State Runner-Up team.

Personal
Graduate of Bismarck High School in Bismarck, North Dakota, Joseph Patchen-Mills is the son of Trent and Shanna Mills. He is majoring in Physical Education and minoring in Coaching.
