Biography

2015
Started all 55 games for the Marauders. Second on the team with a .360 batting average on 62 hits in 172 at bats. Led the team with 15 home runs to go with eight doubles and three triples. Led the team with 46 RBI and second with 39 runs scored. Led the team with a .703 slugging percentage and second with a .409 OBP with seven walks and was hit by pitch 10 times. Also had 11 stolen bases and fielded .930 with 10 errors in 143 attempts.
 
Taylor was named to the 2015 1st Team All-NSIC as a utility player as she ranked fifth in conference in slugging percentage, fourth in home runs, fifth in total bases, third in hit by pitch, and seventh in sacrifice flies.
 
For her career, Taylor ranks fifth in U-Mary Division II history with a .354 batting average, second with a .634 slugging percentage, sixth with a .409 OBP, second with 24 home runs, and second with 15 hit by pitch.

She was third on the team in batting average at .358, fifth in runs with 34, fifth in hits with 58, fourth in doubles with eight, third in homeruns with eight, third on the team with 36 RBI, third with slugging percentage at .580, third in on-base percentage at .414, and fourth in steals with 13.
 
2013
Mendez appeared in five games for the Marauders, totaling four hits in 16 at bats. Hit one home run, scored seven runs and drove in six. Drew three walks and only committed one error for a .933 fielding percentage.
 
Taylor is attending U-Mary to pursue a degree in athletic training/pre-physical therapy.
 
High School
Played softball and tennis for four years while at Los Banos High School. She was named ‘Ms. Tiger’, an award given out to the best athlete of the year while in high school, she was also named First Team All-Conference as a centerfielder, MVP, and First Team All-Conference on offense. She was also named MVP of her conference and was a scholar athlete. In her senior year she hit .484 with seven doubles, two triples and five home runs. As a junior she hit .347 with five doubles and one triple. As a sophomore she hit .403 with five doubles and three home runs. As a freshman she hit .458 with five doubles and two triples.
