Home-opening baseball series moves up a day to Friday-Saturday when Marauders host Mustangs

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary baseball 2026 home opener is moving up one day to take advantage of projected warm weather conditions. UMary now hosts Southwest Minnesota State University on Friday and Saturday, March 20-21 in a four-game series at Municipal Ballpark in Bismarck, ND.
 
First pitch for Friday's doubleheader is slated for 1:30 pm. Saturday's twin bill commences at 12 noon. The first three games are Northern Sun contests. Game four is a non-conference matchup between the Marauders and the Mustangs.
 
Current weather projections feature temperatures in the 70s for Friday and the mid-60s on Saturday before dropping precipitously on Sunday. The series was originally slated to be played on Saturday and Sunday.   
 
UMary enters the series with a record of 6-10 overall and 2-4 in NSIC play. SMSU is 13-7 overall and 3-6 in the NSIC.
