MOORHEAD, MN - The #12 University of Mary wrestling team (9-5, 5-3 NSIC) got back to their winning ways, defeating Minnesota State University Moorhead 38-8 in a road dual. The Marauders won eight out of the ten matches, winning three by pinfall and two via tech fall.
The action kicked off with
Ben DeForest taking down Clayson Mele by an 8-1 decision at 125 pounds.
Gabe Mortensen impressed at 133 pounds after he pinned Brody Toledo after 0:45 of action. Toledo got in deep on a takedown attempt, but Mortensen showcased great takedown defense by throwing Toledo to his back and getting the win.

Sean Solis continues his unbeaten run in dual competitions at 141 pounds, defeating Pedro Velazquez by a 4-2 decision.
Kale Baumann fell behind 6-1 to Parker Benz but rallied back to get the pinfall victory at the 3:40 mark.
The Dragons picked up a 4-2 decision in the 141-pound weight class. The reigning NSIC Wrestler of the Week,
Lane Ewing, dominated at 157 pounds by beating Jacob Reinardy by a 20-4 tech fall.
Joe Mushinsky defeated Damon Ferguson by a 14-2 major decision at 174 pounds.
Sam Bruss was dominant at 184 pounds, earning a 19-4 tech fall win over Edon Davis.
Charlie Severance made quick work at 197 pounds after he pinned Wyatt Powell in 24 seconds. The dual ended with MSUM grabbing a 19-4 tech fall at heavyweight.
The Marauders return home to host #11 Augustana University on Saturday, February 14, at 2 pm in the McDowell Activity Center.
