BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary women's golf team were the runners-up at their home meet, the Marauders Invitational.
Carrie Carmichael placed in a tie for third in her final home tournament.
Carmichael had a four-stroke lead on the competition after the first 18 holes after a brilliant first round. The senior had three birdies in the first round, finishing with an even-par 72. The windy conditions of day 2 had an effect, and Carmichael was surpassed by a pair of Jamestown golfers, finishing with a 159 (+15) in third place.
Freshman
Sydney Miller had a strong showing in her first home outing, placing 5
th with a 167 (+23). Sophomore
Annie Neva followed in 7
th with a score of 170 (+26). Freshman
Demi Bolin followed in 8
th at 174 (+30).
Alyssa Harcharik placed 10
th with a 180 (+36).

The Marauders will be back at it on Friday, Oct. 3, for the UJ Fall Invite at the Jamestown Country Club. The Yellowjacket Fall Invitational follows on Monday, Oct. 6.
