SIOUX FALLS, SD – Noah Hull broke the University of Mary baseball career record for runs driven in during the Marauders opening game of the weekend at the University of Sioux Falls. While the two-time all-conference player moved to the top of the UMary RBI chart, it was the homestanding Cougars who claimed both ends of the Northern Sun doubleheader.
A graduate student from Scarborough, Ontario, Hull drove in the 142nd run of his four-year Marauders career in the fifth inning of the first game when Luke Rhee scored on a sacrifice fly. Hull passed Jeff Wedul and Tyler Liffrig, who both posted 141 RBIs in their UMary careers.
GAME 1: University of Sioux Falls 11 UMary 5
Three straight three-run innings followed by two more runs in the sixth inning carried the University of Sioux Falls past the University of Mary 11-5. USF crossed the plate in each of the third, fourth and fifth innings.
PIVOT POINT
After USF scored three runs in the third – two of which were unearned – and three more in the fourth, the Marauders chipped into the Cougars lead in the fifth. After Hank Griffin singled home a run and Isaac Pegors followed with a 2-run double, Noah Hull hit a sacrifice fly for the 142nd RBI of his career to break the school record while pulling the Marauders within 6-4.
Sioux Falls regained its advantage with three more runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth for an 11-4 lead. Isaac Pegors closed out the scoring for UMary with a run-scoring single in the seventh.

GAME 2: Cougars 17 Marauders 7
The Cougars scored six runs in the first inning and four more in the second to take an insurmountable lead over the Marauders in a 17-7 USF win.
PIVOT POINT
The Cougars plated six runs in the first and four more in the second for a quick 10-0 lead. UMary scored four times in the third as Isaac Pegors hit a 2-run single and Bryce Leafgren doubled home two more as the Marauders closed within 10-4. The six-run deficit was as close as UMary would come as USF continued to build its advantage.
