DULUTH, MN – Another impressive performance by the University of Mary tennis team (5-6, 4-1 Northern Sun) sees the Marauders increase their winning streak to four after defeating St. Cloud State University (3-8, 0-5 NSIC) 5-2.
UMary took down the doubles competition to earn one team point.
Chloe Chong Zhi Jing and
Ilona Freitag captured a 6-1 win in #1 doubles over Claudia Munoz Perez and Laura-Marie Schaefer.
Maria Estinvil and
Anna Sueflohn won 6-3 against Johana Brower and Gibby Chapman in #2 doubles.
Valeria Bradley and
Luba Moyo fell in #3 singles 6-1 to Oriana Grott and Brooklyn Broadwell.
Chloe Chong Zhi Jing impressed in #1 singles, defeating Claudia Munoz Perez 6-4, 6-2.
Ilona Freitag won 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 over Johana Brower in #2 singles.
Maria Estinvil was victorious in #3 singles 7-5, 6-2 over Oriana Grott.

Anna Sueflohn lost a tight match in #4 singles 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to Laura-Marie Schaefer.
Madeline Abbott came up short in #6 singles, losing 6-3, 7-5, 1-0 to Brooklyn Broadwell.
